Kratika Saroj Rajawat is a beauty pageant and a cultural influencer.
Kratika belongs to a farmer family. She completed her schooling in different cities, such as Kota, Jaipur, Mount Abu, and Bhilwara. She believes that she learned more from the environment than from her schools. She learned morality from her family at a very young age. She had never thought of pageants and modeling as her career during her teenage years. Having a conservative family, her parents were against her education in a different city. However, she shifted to Udaipur for higher education. She was totally into education, but her compulsory participation in freshers events in college brought her into modeling. She won the title of Miss Fresher.
Her journey started with the Global India Beauty Pageant, which was started at a very small level by an agency in Jaipur. The people from the agency came to her college for promotion and suggested she enroll as she has good height and personality. They were also ready to work on her skills, but she refused because she had come to the college with the purpose of studying. But, after their continuous requests, she agreed to fill out the form and was selected for the audition. She also participated in the Rajasthan Fashion Week. She participated in the fashion show and felt that this is something that can be taken further as a career. The major challenge was convincing her parents. Later, she stepped into the modeling world. There was not much opportunity in Udaipur for a pageant or a model, so she used to visit Jaipur for auditions. It became hard for her to manage education, exams, and auditions. She was also not sure that giving an audition would result in her selection. It increased mental stress. After three years of rejection, she auditioned for Miss Udaipur and was selected. She won Miss Udaipur First Runner-Up. It built her confidence, and she was also praised by her family members who were telling her to focus on her education and job.
After a few months, she went for Miss Rajasthan’s auditions and waited for the result. She got selected as a finalist in the top 28 and continued her journey as Miss Rajasthan.
When asked about her role models, Kratika says her mother has been her role model. Her mother helped her become strong, and she also built a never-give-up attitude because of her mother.
Kratika’s life mantra is "Kuch to log Kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna."
Sharing her achievements, Kratika says being a finalist in Miss Rajasthan is a huge achievement for her, as she has learned many lessons from the experience. Furthermore, winning the title of Miss Udaipur is a huge achievement for her. She has also worked on Rajasthani music albums such as Tara Ri Chunri. She has walked in India Fashion Week, India Runway Week, and Rajasthan Fashion Week. She has also worked on short films such as ‘Junaid From Pakistan’, which was selected for the international short film festival.
When asked about her opinion on education and experience, Kratika says education is important as it helps you understand things effectively. However, experiences are more important than education, as People learn language from experience, and it also helps us gain knowledge from books.
Advising the younger generation, Kratika says the most important thing in the pageant field is confidence. You don’t need to be good-looking in order to enter the pageant or modeling field. The modeling industry has developed a lot. Furthermore, she suggests you be true to yourself, as it is necessary for a person to grow in a better way. She says that one should always respect their values and focus on doing things in the right manner.
If given a time machine, Kratika would like to go back in time and change the way people think about girls' education. She believes that if people had understood the importance of girls' education earlier, then things could have been better.
Kratika says you can earn very well as a pageant and model. She believes that models and influencers are influencers of this generation, and brands pay you well to promote their products on social media platforms. Moreover, people from pageant backgrounds are also working in movies and web series. You can also develop your acting skills, which will help you become an actor and may lead you to Bollywood.
