Krati Rajkumar Toshniwal, a talented baker and the founder-owner of ‘Cake Walk by Krati’ in Udaipur, has turned her passion for baking into a successful business.

With a strong desire to create her own venture in the food industry, Krati embarked on her baking journey from a young age. Despite initial setbacks, she continued to hone her skills and eventually established her own bakery, which has gained popularity through word of mouth.

Born and raised in Udaipur, Krati completed her schooling at Central Academy, Sardarpura. She holds a B.Com. and an M.Com. degree from MB College, along with a Diploma in Food Production from IHM. Although she pursued studies in law and attended CA and CS entrance exam preparation classes, her true passion for baking led her to start her own bakery after completing her MBA.

Before launching Cake Walk by Krati, she conducted numerous trials and developed her own unique recipes. Krati's dedication to her craft drove her to attend workshops and enhance her skills. Following a one-day workshop in Mumbai, she took the leap and established her bakery, which has since garnered immense support from customers.

Notably, she achieved this success without any formal marketing efforts, relying solely on the positive reputation she has earned through her delectable desserts.

Krati's bakery business initially started with humble beginnings, but through word of mouth, her customer base rapidly expanded. From one order a week, she now receives multiple orders in a day and has served a record-breaking 32 cakes in a single day. With the constant support and guidance of her parents, brother, brother's wife, teachers, and friends, Krati has overcome challenges and built a loyal clientele of 1500-2000 regular customers.

Krati's decision to focus on eggless cakes stemmed from the observation that many people in Udaipur refrain from consuming cakes that contain eggs. Her innovative approach led her to introduce her signature flavor, the 'rasmalai' (an Indian fusion sweet), which remains a popular choice among customers. By catering to the specific preferences of her clientele, Krati has carved a niche for herself in the local bakery market.

Reflecting on her journey, Krati acknowledges that pursuing her passion for baking earlier in life would have been a wiser choice. However, she remains optimistic about the future and aims to open a larger bakery in due time.
