A Google-certified digital marketer turned Forex and Futures trader, Koushik Ranjit emphasizes risk management, discipline, and consistent learning. Over years of practice, mentorship, and AI tools, he achieved financial freedom, and advocated patience for skill mastery.

Koushik Ranjit is a Financial Market Day Trader who trades in Forex and Futures. He started his work in 2021, and also conducts chart analysis of the financial market.

He shares that when he started, he didn’t directly enter the financial market. He first worked in digital marketing, and through that, he connected with a large number of people. Through these connections, he eventually entered the stock trading industry.

Slowly, he came to understand the field. He learned many things, and the main focus he adopted was risk management. After connecting with many experienced traders, even though he started in 2021, it was only in the last two years that he began converting his income into actual profit. He realized that in this field, understanding risk management and maintaining discipline is crucial. If one rushes to earn money, one can never succeed. Instead, one should focus on building skills and learning how the system works.

When asked what inspired him to join the field, he shares that once he randomly saw a newspaper article about a Japanese trader Natashe who turned $13,000 into over $200 million from his bedroom, using only one laptop.

He realized that in physical work, one can only work limited hours and maximum income is limited. If someone wants to break this barrier, they must do something different. Trading allows flexibility: you can work whenever you want, and it is not necessary to work at fixed times. He shares that he often trades while traveling. The benefits include financial freedom, and if one earns well in a month, they may not need to work for the next 2–3 months. This flexibility and freedom drew him into the field.

Koushik Ranjit was born in Hasnabad, West Bengal, and was brought up there in a middle-class family. Though his family background was modest, he excelled in studies, particularly in Mathematics. He was widely known as the “Maths Expert” in college. His teachers and classmates always motivated him. He completed his honors in mathematics. In school, he consistently topped and won multiple state-level competitions. In college, he was featured in the college magazine.

A major turning point came in 2019 when he was recognized by Google. He became a Google-Certified Digital Marketer and Google Analytics Expert, gaining significant recognition. In 2023, he was verified on all social media platforms, marking the actual beginning of his professional career.

He shares that he has 3–4 friends. Firstly, he has a friend Mehdi Hasan whom he met online, and they have not yet met in person. This friend introduced him to the forex trading field. Whenever he felt demotivated or frustrated—common in trading due to scarce knowledge and limited resources—this friend supported him. He notes that most social media accounts spread fake news and information for short-term hype. Genuine knowledge is rare online. Mentors are often unavailable, and colleges do not teach trading. Some knowledge can only be taught by tutors outside the country, but language barriers limit learning in one’s native language.

Another friend, Sadaqat Aman Khan, whom he also met online, motivates him daily. He explains that ups and downs are part of life, and if bad times didn’t exist, one would not appreciate good times. Ranjit gives an example from trading: not all months will be profitable, as results depend on a country’s GDP and financial status. If trading does not go well temporarily, one should not lose hope but remain consistent and follow their trading plan. Chasing money blindly does not work; one should focus on following the plan consistently and strive to improve oneself daily. One should never compare themselves to others because everyone’s life situations and problems are different. Comparisons can hinder growth; instead, one should compare only with themselves to assess personal progress.

He shares that he has a friend who is much older and belongs to the same field. This friend told him, “Learn and apply.” One must not only learn but also apply knowledge; otherwise, learning alone is of no use.

Financial Market Day Trader Koushik Ranjit emphasizes the importance of being at the right place at the right time. Talent alone is not enough if one cannot use it or apply it effectively. Discipline bridges the gap between what one wants now and what one wants the most, helping to choose the right actions at the right time.

Talking about his struggles, Ranjit shares that when he entered this field, his financial background was poor, and his family was heavily in debt. He was alone and needed to earn money to support his family.

He received a scholarship, which he used to start a side business by purchasing a domain in Digital Marketing. Before this, he worked in many roles that few people know about, including event management, Zomato delivery, and event photography, trying various ways to earn money and support his family.

After receiving the scholarship and becoming a Google-certified digital marketer, he created a website offering freelance services. The revenue from this work was then invested in financial trading. He sought mentorship from different mentors but often faced scams where they took money and blocked access. Koushik says, today, there are many AI tools available, including ChatGPT, which can help learn financial trading for free.

In his early days, he struggled to understand what others were doing, as many people were already doing the same things but he didn’t know how or what to do. He spent 2–3 years in this struggle and also suffered a loss around 2021 due to continuously burning money.

Whatever he earned from digital marketing, he invested in his home, using 50% for trading. However, he did not see results initially.

He paused everything to analyze his mistakes. He read extensively to avoid paying mentors and studied the life stories of successful traders. He researched patterns in the market, understood their systems, and created a bullet-point trading plan, practicing the steps meticulously.

After three years of practice, he began seeing good results. He applied his plan to the live market, and came to know about a well-known company, My Forex Funds, that provided funding to traders. By clearing an exam and proving his skills, he gained access to large funds, up to $100,000–$200,000. He realized that with larger funds, even small percentage gains generate substantial income. From that day onward, he trades only on these platforms, not with personal funds.

He demonstrates his skills on the funds provided, keeps a percentage, and grows steadily. Initially; his first earnings were €9,000, followed by €2,000 every month, all tracked meticulously. He realized that even small percentages on large funds yield significant returns, and since then, he trades exclusively on the platform.

For those starting in this profession, he advises not to rush. One must give time to learn. The mindset should be focused on learning a skill rather than earning money immediately. Consistency is key, sporadic motivation is insufficient.

He emphasizes learning risk management and practicing discipline. He shares two strategies: “Liquidity Sweep” and “Inverse Fair Value Gap.” Mastering even one of these strategies can cover 50% of trading proficiency. He also recommends the YouTube channel “The Inner Circle Trader”, particularly the 2022 ICT Mentorship playlist, which contains detailed videos of 1–2 hours each, from which he learned extensively.

He advises learners to watch everything consistently, apply what they learn, and avoid letting emotions interfere.

He shares that today’s youth have easy access to resources online, which can accelerate growth. Free PDFs and AI tools can replace books. In trading, AI can analyze fundamentals, predict currency movements, and help make faster decisions. Previously, traders manually read statements and interpreted effects on GDP; now AI can provide insights instantly. Using AI wisely can help one grow faster, build websites, use coding bots, and implement solutions without a developer.

He clarifies that he is not a certified financial advisor and only shares guidance from personal experience. Free online tools can teach trading, but emotional discipline, psychology, and consistent effort are critical. The system is the same for everyone; success depends on how consistently one applies it.
