Driven by his passion for art, Kishan has been in this field for the past five years. He became an assistant professor, and believes in working hard and tries to give his best.

Kishan Bagdi is an Assistant Professor at the Assam Global University.

Kishan hails from Silchar.

Recalling his childhood, Kishan says that he was always inclined towards art in his childhood. He liked drawing and sketching. Seeing his interest in art, his parents made him attend drawing classes. His interest grew in this field, although he could not pursue art professionally in his career due to some financial constraints and also because there was no guidance available to him. After completing 12th grade, he did a BA in English and also did some part-time jobs, such as giving tuition, to support himself.

Sharing his journey, Kishan says that he initially started teaching in a school, then he worked in an art school on a contract basis, and currently he is working as an Assistant Professor. He is also pursuing his PhD.

Talking about his struggles, Kishan says that when he took admission in the university, it was challenging for him to travel 50 km every day from Silchar to Assam University.

Sharing about his mistakes, Kishan says that when he was in the 9th grade, he misinterpreted a subject in the timetable because of which he had to give an exam he did not prepare for. However, he managed to pass that subject. He says he has learned from his mistakes.

Speaking about his accomplishments, Kishan says that he got a gold medal in his master's, which was a big achievement for him.

When asked about his role models, Kishan says that his family has been very supportive, especially his father, from whom he has learned a lot. He has learned from his teachers in different phases of his life. He also tries to follow the teachings of Swami Vivekanada.

In his spare time, Kishan does yoga and meditation.

Kishan’s life mantra is to face every problem with determination and believing in himself.
