A professor, Kiran always guides and motivates her students to achieve their goals in life. She has been working in the field of education for the past fifteen years.

Kiran Soni is an Associate Professor and research guide at the Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies in Udaipur.

Kiran hails from Udaipur. She completed her BSc in Mathematics and MBA from Advent College. She also did an M.Com. from MLSU and secured second position in it. She has also done MSW and PGDCA and cleared the UGC NET in 2010. She completed her PhD in 2013. She also has good experience in the field of research.

Kiran shares that when she was in ninth grade, there were financial issues in her family, so she started teaching kids. Slowly and gradually, her interest developed in this field, and she decided to pursue this profession.

Talking about her journey, Kiran says that she has enjoyed it and learned a lot. Every year, she has to teach new students and interact with youngsters, which she enjoys doing.

When asked about her hard times, Kiran says that she faced difficulty in teaching students who were older than her. Once, she took a lecture at Manipal University as a visiting faculty member and initially felt hesitant to teach. Afterwards, they all cooperated with her, and she coped very well.

Kiran’s role models are her parents, who tried their best to give her and her siblings the best education and sacrificed a lot. In the field of academics, she admires her professors like Prof. PK Jain and Prof. Karunesh Saxena, and she wants to become like them. She is also inspired by her husband, Dr. Kailash Soni, and he has always supported and helped her at every step.

The quote by Kabir Das, "Mann Ke Haare Haar Hai, Mann Ke Jeete Jeet," motivates her a lot. She believes that you can achieve anything if you have faith in yourself.

While comparing education and experience, Kiran says that it is important to balance both. She believes that experience gained along with education is very useful for achieving success. It improves your  thought process and decision-making capacity.

Kiran says that she never sits idle, as she is always busy with her work. She always engages in her projects, research papers, or articles. She has published three books and 52 other publications during her journey.
