Kiran Jain was born and raised in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. She did her schooling from a girls school of Bhilwara. Her father wanted her to become a doctor so he enrolled her in the Maharani College in the Science stream.
However, Kiran was more interested in sports and also excelled at it. Impressed by her sports records, her hostel warden made her join the Basketball and Volleyball teams. She did very well in it and even went on to play at National Level in Volleyball. Although it came at the cost of her academics, she had to devote most of her time to sports completely ignoring studies. When her teacher pointed it out, she got serious about her studies too. And although her chance of appearing for PMT had passed, she performed excellently in her studies and eventually scored ninety percent marks in graduation.
After completing her graduation, Kiran returned to Bhilwara and did M.A. in Economics from there itself. Later, she got married and after spending some initial time in her in-laws’ village and in Sawai Madhopur, she, with her husband, moved to Udaipur. Kiran says that her initial time in Udaipur was financially challenging, but overall everything came back on track.
In the initial stage of COVID, Kiran thought that it was a ruse created by the politicians, but she gradually understood the gravity of the situation. She also called her daughter and her in-laws from Pune to Udaipur and took great care of them, she even accompanied her daughter’s father-in-law in the COVID ward when he got infected. Eventually everything was fine and she overall enjoyed spending quality time with her whole family.
If Kiran could go back in time, she would like to relive her childhood memories and enjoy life with her friends.
Kiran’s life mantra is to adequately balance “Karma” and “Dharma” in life.
