Principal of a school, Kiran is also an avid writer. She has been contributing to Hindi literature and also to the intellectual growth of her students.

Kiran Bala is the Principal at a Government School in Udaipur. She is also an avid writer and has written three books.

Kiran was born in Javad, MP but was brought up in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan due to her father's posting there. She is currently settled in Udaipur.

Recalling her childhood, Kiran says that she was a disciplined and responsible child from the beginning. She says that she enjoyed her childhood playing simple games with her siblings. She had always been interested in reading books and spent most of her pocket money on renting books to read.

Kiran completed her B.Ed in 2000, following which she began teaching at a private school called Rajasthan Mahila Parishad. She then switched to St. Mary’s Convent School in 2002. Eventually, she joined a government school as a Hindi lecturer in 2003. She was promoted to the post of Principal in 2015.

Talking about her life struggles, Kiran says the first ten years after her marriage were quite difficult in her life. She got married when she was in tenth standard and continuing her studies became quite a challenge. She says that she continued her studies after having two children.  She kept working while efficiently managing her family responsibilities, as not only she had to contribute to her family but also because she wanted to do something worthwhile in her life. She studied further and did teaching jobs to eventually attain a good position in life. She says that her in-laws were extremely supportive of her in her endeavours.

Coming to her role models, Kiran says that  during her journey she met many people who became her role models from her school teachers to her professor in college. She also got inspiration from personality development sessions organised in her school and college. She particularly learns from nature and people with a positive and mature mindset.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Kiran says that both are equally important in life as they both complement each other.

Speaking of her achievements, Kiran says that the biggest achievement of her life is that she has always done justice to duty. She is also proud that many of her students have been doing great in their lives. As an author of Hindi Literature, she has taken part in international Hindi conferences four times and has gotten three books published. She is also associated with various literature groups. As a Principal, she has been commended several times due to her contribution towards the development of education.

When free, Kiran likes to spend time with books, and enjoys both reading and writing. She also regularly contributes to society which gives her satisfaction.

Given a chance to go back in time with a time machine, Kiran would like to spend time with her kids that she lost because of her professional commitments. She would also like to direct her exams preparation towards the competitive exams for administrative services.

Advising the young generation, Kiran says that you should do your work with complete devotion and sharp focus. To budding teachers, Kiran says that you have a huge responsibility on your shoulders and thus you should work with complete honesty and dedication. She also advises budding writers to read more and more to hone their writing skills.

Sharing her COVID experience, Kiran says that she had just joined a new school right before the pandemic and was given the responsibility to maintain COVID protocol as an Incident Commander. She says that it was quite hectic ensuring that proper COVID protocols were being followed.  She also fulfilled her duties as a social worker and helped many needy people. She also devoted time to her literature and due to her association with a world famous literature conference, her name was recorded in the World Book of Records, London.

On a final note, Kiran advises everyone to be diligent and do their work while taking care of themselves.
