Beating the odds in life, Khushboo learned from her problems and became a Company Secretary. She started her firm and is working hard to achieve success.

Khushboo Agarwal is a Company Secretary. She is the owner of K. Agarwal and Associates in Surat.

Khushboo was born in Guwahati, Assam and brought up in Siliguri, West Bengal. She says she was an average student during her childhood. After 10 years, her family came to Surat. Her father wanted her to study CA or CS or any other profession. But due to some reasons, she got married at an early age, when she was only in 12th.

Khushboo shares that after bringing up her two kids, she graduated and then did a CS course, underwent training and finally got a job. She did her internship at Garden Silk Mills in Surat. She says she did CS to fulfill her father's dream.

Talking about struggles in her life, Khushboo says that it was not easy for her to manage her home and work together. As she lived in a traditional Marwadi family, she was allowed only to give exams. She did B.Com by distance learning. She decided to do a CS course so that she could study at home and give exams. When she got an All-India Rank, then her family felt that she could do something. They allowed her for internships and jobs and now she has a proprietary firm.

Khushboo shares that she started with zero clients when she opened her firm. She provides quality service to her clients. She always focuses on solutions and not on problems. She also attends seminars and workshops of company secretaries to improve her knowledge.

Regarding mistakes in her life, Khushboo says she feels that she should not have married so early.

Talking about achievements in her life, Khushboo says that clearing the CS exam on the first attempt, along with looking after her children and convincing a traditional family, was the biggest achievement in her life. She says that she had also done a banking course and a diploma in computer applications and achieved 90% in all her courses.  She has also received an award for 'Best Founder of the Year'.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Khushboo says that theoretical education is essential.

Sharing about role models in her life, Khushboo says that she considers her father, whose dream was to make her a CS, as her role model. She is also inspired by her best friend Dr. Prabhat Krishna who taught her how to cope with problems.

Khushboo has also written a book- A Complete Guide to Pay Stamp Duty in India.

Advising the company Secretary aspirants, Khushboo says that they should study what they are interested in. Also, they should give their hundred percent if they are in a professional field. They should never get confused and always set their target. She also suggests focusing on their career.

To one and all, Khushboo says that every profession has its own value. They should trust, think and then decide on their career.
