Keerthana pursued nail art completely out of her passion. After eight years of struggle, she owns her own studio. She believes it is essential for a woman to be independent in her life and encourages others to do the same.

Keerthana Mariappan is a nail artist and founder of Naily-The Artist. She has been in this industry for more than eight years.

Keerthana hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Recalling her childhood, Keerthana says that she had a fun-filled childhood. Her parents never forced her to pursue a certain career path and allowed her to make her own decisions, especially her father, who had always supported her. She was also suffering from a disease, due to which her father got her admission into the NIOS school.

Sharing about her journey, Keerthana shares that, by education, she did Hotel Management. But due to her passion, she has been studying nail art since 2014. She was working in a salon and joined a nail art course there just because of her interest. After eight years of struggle, she opened her own studio, Naily-The Artist.

Speaking about her mistakes, Keerthana says that she is very short-tempered. She remembers losing her temper with one of her clients and considers it the biggest mistake of her life.

When asked about her role models, Keerthana says that her father had supported and encouraged her to do whatever she wanted and was like a role model to her. Her father wanted to see her become an entrepreneur, and she fulfilled her father's dreams, but she feels sad that he is no longer around to see her success.

In her spare time, Keerthana likes to spend time with her family.

Keerthana’s life mantra is to be independent and not depend on anyone. She advises others to trust themselves and pursue what they want in life.
