After every fall, stand up again.
After every fall, stand up again.
Kazaan Talib has been a martial artist for 10 years. He gives training in Muay Thai and Kickboxing. He is also a professional fighter and a coach at his gym Balance Muay Thai and Kickboxing. He says he has been in the field of sports for 20 years, and the discipline inculcated in him in all these years is the reason behind his success.
Kazaan hails from Mumbai. He completed his schooling in Mumbai itself. Once in Thailand, he saw Muay Thai, and developed an interest in the sport the same day.
Kazaan says he had an interest in sports since childhood. He participated in games like football and skating and reached up to the district level and the state level.
Talking about his challenges, Kazaan says it was the biggest challenge for him in Thailand going through his training for two years. He was not paid anything and had to fight for his survival. Kazaan's self-trust helped him to build his career.
Kazaan says his mother is the greatest role model in his life. Mohd Ali and other martial artists have also influenced his life, he says.
Kazaan’s success mantra is discipline, which is, in his opinion, the most important part of everything.
Talking about his hobbies, Kazaan says that reading historical fiction and walking recreates him.
Advising the martial arts aspirants, Kazaan says many sports people do not go ahead because they lack discipline. He advises not to be afraid of mistakes. The life of a martial artist is not easy. One has to work hard. You have to believe what you do. You can get through hard days only if you have self-belief, says Kazaan.
For one and all, Kazaan quotes the words of Mohd Ali that “Going down is not a crime, the only crime is staying down”. Fear of making mistakes is the biggest mistake. One should never repeat mistakes. He urges us to fight at every step. Because if we do not fight we cannot make a living.
