RJ Kavya Bhatt has been working with 94.3 MY FM, Udaipur for the past 5 years. He has experience of 3 years of working as a radio jockey with the same FM radio.

RJ Kavaya Bhatt hails from Udaipur. He completed his schooling at MMPS, Udaipur. After his schooling, he enrolled himself in a polytechnic diploma in mechanical engineering on his brother’s advice. Post completion of his diploma he also completed engineering.

Kavya says that toward the completion of his engineering, he developed an interest in anchoring and hosting. During the teacher’s day celebration he anchored the event and found a passion for anchoring. After his engineering, he also worked for Nissan and Mahindra but later took to anchoring full-time as his profession.

After that, he joined Bagore Ki Haveli, Udaipur where he worked for 4 years and learned to anchor. During that time he also happened to get into radio and interned for it. Later he worked as an RJ with a company but owing to some issues had to drop it. He also did some other internships to hone his vocal cords and later joined 94.3 MY FM as an RJ and since then the journey has continued.

Kavya says that during tough times in life we should consult our parents. They are our world and know us the best. Initially, his mother was also skeptical of his new-found passion for anchoring. But later, when he took her mother to one of his shows for a wedding her mother really liked his anchoring, and since then she has always supported him in all the phases of his life.

Kavya considers all the laborers and workers his role model. He says that despite all the problems in their life they never complain and keep working.

He shares two learnings that he has learned whilst working with 94.3 MY FM, 1. Your work shall go on no matter what. 2. Always be committed to your work to achieve success.

To anyone who wants to be an RJ, Kavya advises that you should be patient and confident in yourself. Besides, you should always think creatively to execute your task. RJ is not about just talking. It’s about how well you can communicate with yourself and your audience.

Kavya is of the opinion that education is very important in life. Without education, you would not be able to polish your skills. Education gives you knowledge but you learn real-life lessons whilst working.

Reflecting on his childhood, Kavya says that he was a naughty kid. He would often be scolded for his acts.

Even if he could go back in time and be something different Kavya would still want to be the same person as he is now.

Kavya lives in a joint family. To unwind from his hectic schedule he likes to spend time with his grandparents and pull pranks on them. He says that interacting with his grandparents gives him a different feeling. Besides, he is an animal lover and believes in upholding the Indian value system.
