Desirous of doing good for society and the world, Kareena started her own organization to support specially abled children, laborers, and women.

Kareena Verma is the Managing Director at the Prem Care Foundation.

Kareena hails from Udaipur. She did her MA in English literature.

Recalling her childhood, Kareena says that her father was a taxi driver, so she never expected much from him and tried to be independent. She learned martial arts in school. She also started giving tuition when she was in ninth grade and utilized her earnings from these tuitions to pay the college fees. She completed her graduation and D.El.Ed. Thereafter, she started teaching.

Kareena shares that she has always aspired to do something for differently abled children. When she was teaching at Kidzee School, she even helped a differently abled girl. She believes that everyone has a hidden talent. Thereafter, she joined another school and faced the same situation. Finally, she founded the Prem Care Foundation, where they support specially abled children. Elaborating on the name of the firm, she says the name ‘Prem’ itself encapsulates a feeling of affection and care for others.

Explaining about the firm, Kareena says that over time the company has expanded into educating poor laborers about health and safety issues. In a recent drive, her firm conducted medical checkups for basic illnesses like blood pressure, sugar level, and temperature. It enabled her to guide them towards treatment for their illnesses, thereby improving their quality of life. They try to help people in need, especially women.

Kareena shares that she also organized a summer camp for children where they could learn dance, computers, and singing. She also had to struggle for a venue. She wanted the children to talk to her freely. She believes that a child's personality develops according to the atmosphere in which they live. It is important for parents to give time to their children and be with them in their growing years.

Kareena’s success mantra is to never lose hope. She never depends on others.
