After retiring from the education sector in 2009, Karanmal Jaroli is working for  municipal development of his ward in Udaipur as a Ward Councillor.

Karanmal Jaroli is councillor of Ward number-47 of the Udaipur Municipal Corporation. Earlier, he worked in the education sector for several years before retiring in 2009. Even after retiring, he continued contributing to the development of education in the university for eight years. After retirement, with his party’s confidence and trust, he was given the opportunity of participating in the municipal elections.

Karanmal Jaroli was born in Bambora village in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. He did his entire schooling from his village itself before moving to Udaipur city to pursue higher studies from the Maharana Bhupal College. He did his graduation and Masters both from the MB College and then he went on to do BEd. from Dabok College and a B.Lib. Course. He was the first person from his village to do post-graduation.

Karanmal got inspiration to venture into the field of politics from his village. He says that “RSS Shakha'' was conducted by senior politicians in his village, and he also used to participate regularly in that. This instilled a particular political ideology in him. Interestingly, his father supported another political party and so he was criticized by his father for taking part in “RSS Shakha”. But his interest in politics only grew with time and he continued to take part in it even when he came to Udaipur to study.

Karanmal considers his political mentors and senior members of the party to be his role models and inspiration to keep growing.

Karanmal says that the most important thing required for social service is devoting time. He says that it requires selfless service and dedication to your party. He asks the youth to join the party only with the will to serve the nation.

According to Karanmal, the COVID period was devastating for everyone, especially for the poor people. So he ensured that no one should be without food or basic ration. For this, he worked with his team and collected funds from the willing people in his ward and donated food packets to the needy. He also made sure that the ration made available by the municipality properly reaches the needy people. He remained available for everyone at all times during the lockdown.

When Karanmal was initially appointed in the university library, his senior, Mr. Bhanawat inspired him to always follow the path of truth, which he made the ultimate mantra of his life. And he is content with himself for serving with brutal honesty during his service.

Karanmal thinks that without education, you can not gain experience, as education broadens the limits of your mind. And thus everyone should focus on gaining proper education.

Apart from fulfilling his duties as a ward councillor, Karanmal likes to read books and epics. He also likes to do yoga and go on morning walks.

Karanmal advises the youth to be in good company and focus on working towards nation building.
