Along with running his cafe, Karan, who is also a tattoo artist, has also followed his passion for tattooing for the last thirteen years.

Karan Pandey is a tattoo artist and the owner of a cafe in Jaipur.

Karan was born and brought up in Jaipur. He completed his graduation from Commerce College and also started his MBA, but dropped out after the second semester.

Karan shares that he and his wife are in the same profession of tattooing. He started his own cafe six years ago on his ancestral property. Initially, there was a table for four people, and only drinks were served to them. Slowly and gradually, he and his wife worked hard to grow in this field and achieved success after two years. Afterwards, he expanded the place and also made a rooftop space available for the clients. His main aim is to serve food to the foreigners according to their tastes.

Sharing his COVID experience, Karan says that at the time of the pandemic, he faced the problem that tourist arrivals stopped, which affected his business. But the turning point was when the local public started arriving at his cafe. For the promotion of his cafe, social media platforms played an important role.

Talking about his challenges, Karan says that he faced many struggles in the initial years of starting the cafe. For the initial two years, he and his wife had to do all the tasks that included cleaning, serving, cooking, etc. Slowly and gradually, they started expanding and now have a team of 25 members.

Karan thinks that basic education is necessary, but experience plays a vital role in the life of every individual.

Karan’s role model is his wife, as she has always supported him in achieving his desired goals.

Advising aspirants to his field, Karan says that to enter the field of tattooing, it is important to search for the best institute and learn how tattooing is done by renowned tattoo artists. On the other hand, in the field of cafes and restaurants, hard work is required, and proper communication skills and bonding with the staff members are also essential in this sector. Investment is also required, and the ratio of profit in this field is fifty per cent
