After devoting five years to the preparation of government exams, Kapil finally decided to start his own business, though on a small scale. He is striving hard to grow and expand his venture.

Kapil Singhal is the owner of a sanitary and hardware shop, ‘Kapil Products’, in Baran.

Kapil hails from the Baran district of Rajasthan. He completed his schooling at Kamla Sr. Sec. School and then did his B.Sc. in Mathematics at Government Boys College in Baran. Thereafter, he pursued his B.Ed. from Kota College. He also took a Tally course afterwards, which is proving helpful in his business.

After completing his education, Kapil started preparing rigorously for government jobs. He prepared for five years, but unfortunately, he could not clear any government exam. He had decided earlier that he would give his preparation five years and then start his own business.

Thus, complying with his decision, he started his own business by the name of ‘Kapil Products’ in 2017. Initially, he did business on a small scale by renting a shop, but after two years of hard work, he bought his own place to run his shop. Currently, his business is running quite well.

Advising the youth, Kapil says that they must decide what they actually want to do, and once they have decided, they should act on their decision without giving it any second thought. He also suggests that the youngsters who are graduating should also do a job simultaneously with their studies so that they may gain a good knowledge of the market and learn vital business skills too.

Kapil reflects on the challenging time during the lockdown, acknowledging that the three months were tough for businessmen. However, everyone in the market supported each other with understanding, which kept the businesses afloat. This support was crucial for him during the crisis.

Kapil's role model is his father, who has not only taught him to make decisions and take action but also assisted him in starting his business. His father's encouragement to invest in his own shop, despite the high cost, has been a significant motivation. Additionally, his father has consistently provided financial support.
