Drawing inspiration from his father's resilience and hard work, Kanhaiyalal Paliwal became an accounts executive at an IT company. With 15 years of experience in the field, he emphasises the importance of solid education for building a successful career in accounting.

Kanhaiyalal Paliwal has been working in the field of accounting for the past 15 years. Currently, he is working as an Accounts Executive at Arcgate, Udaipur. He shares that the working environment at Arcgate is very friendly, and his seniors are very supportive too.

Kanhaiyalal comes from a village in Rajsamand district. He spent his childhood there and completed his entire education there itself. He did a B.Com degree course. He shares fond memories from those times, like going into the fields, eating roasted corn, or savouring traditional delicacies like ‘Dal Bati.’ He cherishes the times when he used to enjoy playing cricket with his friends for the whole day.

Kanhaiyalal has been a resident of the city of Mumbai for a long time. He lived there along with his family, where he used to help his father in their dairy business. He always had an interest in accounts, and gradually he learned the tricks of accounting and started his career in accounting. After completing his graduation degree course, he started learning income tax and tax consultancy services by working with various CAs, accountants, and his friends and working for various other companies.

He further shares that his father was the lone breadwinner in the family. He went to Mumbai to help him by working in the accounts field. Soon, he was able to help in his own marriage and his sister’s marriage as well. When he shifted to Udaipur, Kanhaiyalal wanted to start his business, but to no avail. That was when he started giving interviews, and today he has been working at Arcgate for over a year.

Talking about his role models, Kanhaiyalal says that his father has been a true inspiration to him. His father has struggled since his childhood and could not complete his education either. Yet, he has recovered from the bad times, and today he is well settled in Mumbai. Hence, Kanhaiyalal aspires to be like him and uplift his family similarly to how his father uplifted them.

He follows a thought told by his father, which goes like, “Keep working hard, and God will take care of the rest.”

Kanhaiyalal offers a piece of advice to all those who have been looking to make a career in the field of accounting. He says that we must work on the basics right from the beginning. This will help us understand the basic concepts of P&L sheets, balance sheets, etc. and thus adapt them.

When asked about the importance of education and experience, Kanhaiyalal expresses that education always has its prime importance. Only with education will anyone be able to gain experience in their fields and learn more. He says that education is the primary requisite to gain experience in any field.

If ever given a chance to go back in time in a time machine, Kanhaiyalal would want to learn the art of establishing their own business. He would like to open his own hardware business where he can earn good money and have a more settled life.

Kanhaiyalal’s idea of fun is playing with his daughter and spending time with his family. He also enjoys singing Mewari songs and bhajans when he has time.
