Kamlesh, despite being a student of Science-Maths, started liking his father’s profession and following him, he got into that field. He faced a lot of difficulties in his early career, but today he is a successful lawyer and is pursuing his profession very well.

Kamlesh Dave has been practising law in Udaipur for the last thirty years. He takes both civil and criminal cases. He chose this profession because his father was in the same profession and he got inspiration from his father only.

Kamlesh’s role model is his father because he has struggled a lot and built his practice. Although he fights civil cases more, Kamlesh is inclined towards criminal cases but his father is the cornerstone of his advocacy.

Kamlesh belongs to Udaipur and did his studies from Udaipur itself. After school, he did his B.A and then graduated in Law from MLSU. In school, he took Science-Maths as his subject but he did not see any success in it nor did he find any interest in that field. He then realised that advocacy was indeed a challenging work in which you always get to learn something new and you should know everything in it. However, his father always wanted him to go into a secured job rather than coming into a hard working profession.

Kamlesh says that in the initial phase, he remained like a junior under his father and his father also treated him likewise. He says wherever he used to get stuck, he would ask his father and quickly find a solution so he got this support that all his problems were addressed and solved immediately. Also, seeing his working efficiency, Kamlesh got a lot of inspiration and got into the habit of reading at night just like his father.

Kamlesh says that coming into this field is not an easy task as it takes around five-to-seven years to build your name and image in the market. He advises working hard to do good work. So to every newcomer, he suggests that in the initial days you might not get fees for your cases but you will get an experience so don’t panic in the initial phase instead utilise your time properly by studying and updating yourself.

In his free time, Kamlesh likes to spend time with his family and friends. He sometimes goes to the gym too.

Kamlesh says that Corona has taught us about the basic necessities of life and happiness and that peace is the biggest thing in life. He thinks that you don’t need material things to experience happiness and peace, it simply comes by eating together with your family on time. Hence he says that the fun that is in peace is not in busyness.
