Shifting from a cassette-related business to mobile accessories and repair shop, Kamal Kalra has been an active businessman well aware of the nerve of the market. He feels that the more we struggle, the more we achieve.

Kamal Kalra is from Udaipur and has been running a mobile repair and accessories shop since 2006.

Kamal says that he started working at the young age of ten. For thirteen years he worked with his maternal uncle. Then he started selling cassettes on his own and after saving some money, rented a small shop.

Kamal says earlier he was in the business of CDs, cassettes, and VCD but soon these things became obsolete and he had to change his business model. Then Kamal shifted to the mobile accessories and repair field.

Kamal says that before the COVID lockdown happened, the work of Smart City project obstructed his sales. After the lockdown, his business was even more affected and his customer base scattered. He faced many financial problems and was finding it difficult to pay the rent of the shop. However, he is optimistic that since the lockdown is over his business will soon speed up.

Kamal feels that those people who struggle from scratch and do not have any backing are the ones who achieve real success.
