Kalyan Prasad Joshi is a ‘Phad painting’ artist and owner of Chitrashala in Bhilwara.

Kalyan learned the art of painting from his father.

Sharing his achievements, Kalyan says  he was recognized by the Rashtrapati Puraskar and Rashtriya Merit Award. He has also been awarded many awards from various organisations.

Recalling his childhood, Kalyan says that he belongs to a family of artists and has painted since childhood. He played with colours and brushes and decorated the walls in his childhood. He was always supported by his parents and is now encouraged by his wife and children.

Speaking about his mistakes, Kalyan says that even after making a mistake, you can correct it and, in fact, make things even better.

Kalyan’s role model is his father, as he learned the art from him. He says that his father was always ready to do any kind of work, and he never said "no" to any work.

Kalyan’s life mantra is that there is no shortcut to success and that it can be achieved only through hard work.

Advising aspirants to his field, Kalyan says that it is important to do regular riyaz (practice) to learn any art.
