After doing a few odd jobs and facing several ups and downs, Kaluram decided to open his own sweet store. His rasmalais, ghewars, kachoris and mirchi badas have created a name for themselves over the years.

Kaluram Parihar is the owner of the iconic Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar, a famous and long-standing sweet shop based in Udaipur.

His enterprise, Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar, is renowned for its mouthwatering, classic sweets, particularly Rajasthani specialities like Rabdi, Ras Madhuri, Malai Ghewar, and more. In fact, several opulent hotels in Iswal and Udaipur serve his cuisine. Popular delicacies from Kaluram's store include Mirchi Bada, which is sold outside of Udaipur in places like Gujarat, and his personal favourites, Pyaaz Kachori and Rabdi Ghevar.

Kaluram states that the high quality of the sweets and snacks being offered in his shop is what allowed him to attract people's attention. He consistently maintains the highest standards of quality and ensures that none of the items have any detrimental impact on health. He had to overcome a number of challenges when he first opened for business, including financial investments and market rivalry, but in the end he was able to get traction and his store rose to become one of the finest in Udaipur for sweets.

Kaluram was raised in the outskirts of Udaipur, where he was born. He endured many hardships as a child, working as a mechanic and a mine worker among other odd jobs, until he finally opened a candy store to launch his business career. Following that, he worked in the hotel industry while continuing his social service activities.

Kaluram believes that his success in his endeavour may be attributed to the steadfast mentality and support of the local community. He believes that the only thing that eventually produces successful outcomes is a competent businessman's constant attempt to serve his best interests.

Although there are numerous prospects for budding entrepreneurs looking to enter the F&B business, Kaluram advises them to always be prepared to give it their all and seize the moment when it presents itself. Every entrepreneur will inevitably run across difficulties, but they shouldn't let that deter them from succeeding in their industry.

When the COVID pandemic struck, everything came to an abrupt stop, forcing his employees to return to their hometowns. For those who were unable to do so, Kaluram made sure they had access to the necessities for survival. He observed all procedures and provided his employees with full assistance. The one silver lining to this sad period was that he had the chance to spend more time with his family.
