Kalu Lal Singhvi is the proprietor of Singhvi and Sons, Udaipur.

Kalu Lal is from Gogunda and came to Udaipur after the 10th standard to join college. However, he had not attained the age of fifteen and a half years and hence could not get admission. Then he started working in the readymade garments field and worked for two years. It was then that Kalu Lal made up his mind to pursue this field only and started his own shop in 1965.

Talking about the COVID-19 pandemic, he says that it affected the business adversely as everything closed down. He used to rest and read Jainism-related books to pass his time.

Kalu Lal advises that if a person can do hard work, then this field of readymade clothing is very viable.

In his free time, he sits at his shop with his children, goes on a morning walk daily, and spends time in devotional activities.
