A Pune-based musician, K. P. Totare alias Krishna has made notable achievements in his career, including performing with the Nyasa Band for Kappa TV and appearing on Colors-Marathi. His compositions in Hindi-Telugu and Hindi-Tamil have gained recognition, and he also participated in the Marathi show Sangeet Samrat. Despite challenges, his dedication to music has led to significant accomplishments and performances across various cities.

K. P. Totare alias Krishna is a talented musician whose journey began with the flute and has since expanded to composing songs. Settled in Pune for the past seven years, he has dedicated the last four years to performing live music.

Among his achievements, Krishna highlights his performance with the Nyasa Band for Kappa TV in 2017, his appearances on Colors-Marathi, and his participation in the Marathi show Sangeet Samrat.

Krishna’s entry into the world of music was inspired by Vishwanath Malerao, a friend of his brother, who encouraged him to pursue this passion. Under the guidance of Aainoddin Warsi, he began learning the flute and continues to refine his skills.

Reflecting on past missteps, Krishna acknowledges that he missed opportunities earlier by not recording and releasing his Urdu compositions professionally. Despite this, he has moved forward, now composing songs in Hindi-Telugu and Hindi-Tamil, and finding success in these new ventures.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Krishna returned to his village due to the halt in live performances. This period allowed him to focus on enhancing his skills and to start teaching music online.

Krishna candidly shares that there are moments when he questions his place in the music field, feeling that it has not given him much. However, he also recognizes it as a profound blessing. His journey from performing in his village to gracing stages in cities like Mumbai and Udaipur is a testament to his dedication and artistry.

He concludes with a hopeful note, stating that whatever we desire in life, we eventually achieve.
