Jyoti Chordia is a Research Associate at the Vidya Bhawan Education Resource Center, Udaipur. She has been working with the institution for the past twenty years.
Jyoti was born and raised in Vallabhnagar, a small town near Udaipur. She completed her college education in Udaipur. She received her B. Ed degree and her M.Sc.(Biology) degree.
Talking about her childhood, Jyoti says she was adored by her parents as she was the only girl child in her family. She says she used to play a lot of the forgotten games like “Gilli-Danda”, “Kanche”, “Satoliya” and many more. She misses those days of living with her joint family.
When asked about her role models, Jyoti says she considers her father, a teacher, as a role model in her life. He always wanted her to get a good education and supported her to be independent. She did her M.Sc. in Biology, though she regrets not doing her M.Sc. in Mathematics as per her father's choice. She also gets inspiration from her seniors at Vidya Bhawan, who are mentors to her.
In her spare time, Jyoti says she enjoys reading stories and writing poetry. She also likes to spend time with her friends and family.
Jyoti suggests young people spread happiness wherever they go. She advises them to put in a lot of effort and be dedicated to their work and their organization.
