Jyoti Bajaj, the owner of Vanshika Beauty Studio, has been a prominent figure in the beauty care profession since 2008.
Her journey began with a boutique, which she started driven by a desire to create something meaningful in life. However, after two years of managing the demanding logistics of the boutique, Jyoti felt the work was becoming overwhelming and decided to pivot towards the beauty industry.
Her initial steps in the beauty care business began with training at a small salon in her hometown, and from there, she pursued further training in Jaipur and Mumbai. She honed her skills at Beauty Creation in Jaipur and Saundarya Shree in Kota. A significant turning point in her career was completing a one-month makeup course under the guidance of Anurag in Mumbai, which helped her refine her expertise.
Reflecting on her struggles, Jyoti Bajaj recalls the challenge of balancing her professional life with raising her children, often leaving them at home to pursue her career. She credits her husband's unwavering support as a key factor in her success, which allowed her to push forward despite the hardships.
One of her most notable achievements is her journey from operating in a single room to expanding into a six-room beauty studio. Jyoti’s dedication has led her to open a second branch of her studio, a testament to her hard work and growth in the field.
Jyoti Bajaj says she hasn’t made any major blunders, acknowledging that small mistakes are part of life and learning.
For aspiring beauticians, she advises that the craft requires at least a year of proper training, ideally at a reputable institute or salon. She believes the beauty profession offers not only a lucrative career but also the opportunity to create jobs for others.
Beyond her passion for beauty, Bajaj fondly remembers her love for dancing during her earlier days, showcasing her creative and vibrant spirit that has fueled her journey.
Jyoti's journey illustrates the significance of adaptability and pursuing one's passions. Her story highlights that overcoming challenges, such as balancing family and work, can lead to rewarding achievements. Additionally, the importance of continuous learning and support from loved ones is crucial for success in any endeavour, says Jyoti.
