Juhi Karan Pandey is a tattoo artist and the owner of The Tattoo Cafe & Lounge.

Sharing her journey, Juhi says she completed her schooling from Subodh Public School. She pursued her graduation from Maharani College. Later, she did an MBA and worked at the Standard Chartered Bank. She says she is in this field because of her husband, who was into tattoos and used to collect information on them.

Her husband got his first tattoo when they went abroad after their marriage. He wanted to get more of them, so they visited the only tattoo studio in Jaipur, but the artist did not seem very professional to them. They decided to learn the tattoo art themselves and start their own tattoo studio. She started learning this art at KDz Tattoos Studio in Delhi. Later, she practiced on her own and learned from the feedback, as she used to share her tattoos with her senior artists, and they helped her improve her art.

When asked about her role model, Juhi says she takes inspiration from the work of Eric D’Souza.

Juhi says she had always been interested in drawing and art, but her parents never encouraged her.

If she gets another chance to study, she would like to pursue her education in fine arts.

Sharing her point of view on education and experience, Juhi says education plays a major role in one’s life. However, at the same time, a person should also get proper exposure to build connections and improve their skills.

Juhi’s life mantra is "patience and hard work."

Juhi says she faced many difficulties in learning the art form. However, she did not lose her focus and improved her skills. She suggests to the youngsters they chase their dreams instead of losing hope.

Advising the young people, Juhi says initially you need to invest four to five years in refining your tattoo art in order to become a successful tattoo artist, and you can do that with a lot of practice or under the guidance of professionals. Furthermore, she says you should gain proper knowledge in order to make a career in the field of tattooing. You need to work under a good artist, as it will help you sharpen your skills. She also suggests parents let their children choose a career in the field of tattooing, as it will provide good earnings and respect.
