After working in the Modeling field and then in Marketing for quite some time, Jolly found her passion in learning the art of Make-up and she has been taking one step every day to grow in this profession.

Jolly Dahiya is a Delhi-based freelance Make-up Artist. She is the Founder of Jolly Makeovers.

Jolly was born and brought up in Faridabad. She did her bachelors from Delhi University and after that, she did an LLB.

Talking about her childhood, Jolly says that her father used to work at an engineering institute and she grew up on the campus of that college. She is reminiscent of her many good childhood memories. She made many good friends. Besides, she says that growing up surrounded by educated people had a positive impact on her life.

Jolly says that she was working with her husband who had a marketing business overseas. However, later when she realized that she should do something of her own, she chose the art of Make-up as her profession. She says that by leveraging her marketing experience, she grew her presence on social media and built her clientele.

Talking about Covid, she says that during the pandemic she faced some problems on the personal front. But on the financial front, she didn’t have to face any problems as her husband had got the back of her family. She says that being a freelance makeup artist, she had to travel to different cities to serve her clients and due to which she feared catching the virus and thus jeopardizing her family’s safety.

Jolly says that her father has always been her inspiration as he never said no to anything despite many challenges in his life. She also acknowledges that her husband has been her greatest support system.

Jolly thinks that consistency in doing what we do is paramount to grow in life.

Jolly thinks that both Education and Experience are important but your experience matters more in life.

In her spare time, Jolly likes to play Badminton.

If she could go back in time, then Jolly would want to take to Makeup early on in her life as she thinks that had she started earlier she would have grown a lot more today.

Jolly thinks that she is a born leader as that’s what people have always said about her. According to her, a good leader is one who takes everyone in the team along without dictating anyone.

To aspiring makeup artists, Jolly advises them to be consistent in their art. Besides, she advises them to also learn how to market themselves to grow in their career.
