Jitesh Soni is a professional Photographer and Event Planner. He owns and operates his own firm, called 'Bhakti Events.' Having spent nine years working in Udaipur, he now aims to expand his business internationally.
Jitesh hails from Jaisalmer but grew up in Udaipur. During his childhood, he was naughty and not particularly fond of academics, but he excelled in sports.
As a teenager, he started capturing his travel experiences through photography, which eventually evolved from a hobby into a full-fledged career. He pursued his Microsoft education in Mumbai. Throughout the years, he has undertaken numerous projects, managing photography assignments for diverse clients and organising events across India.
Jitesh acknowledges the challenges photographers encounter, which he believes can be overcome through experience and exposure. Initially, he found it challenging to work with high-end cameras and struggled to meet his clients' expectations, but with time, he mastered the art and became comfortable in handling such equipment.
Regarding his role models, Jitesh says he considers himself his own role model, though he draws motivation from various artistic pioneers and renowned photographers. He emphasises the importance of discipline while working on different events.
During the global COVID pandemic, Jitesh shifted his focus to the post-production process, collaborating closely with his team while isolated in a dedicated space and concentrating on creativity.
Jitesh advises the younger generation that to succeed as a photographer, one must have discipline and a clear vision whether they want to be a street photographer, wedding photographer, or product photographer. You must be understanding of the client’s needs, and plan according to the requirements of the event. He also feels that it is important to have good communication skills in this field.
Jitesh firmly believes that working under pressure hinders the creativity of an artist. He says that as artists, you must learn to understand and manage your emotions, whether you are a writer, singer or photographer.
If given a chance to go back in time in a time machine, Jitesh would like to start early in his photography career.
According to him, leadership is not about being a boss but working together with a team. He holds that everyone possesses leadership qualities in their own right.
In his spare time, Jitesh loves listening to music.
