The key to keep moving forward in life is to always stay happy.
Jinesh Kothari is an entrepreneur based in Udaipur. He is the owner of Shahi Taj Ethnic Wear, an ancestral business active since 1963.
Jinesh was born and brought up in Udaipur, Rajasthan. After completing his high school education, he did his bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering. After completing his graduation, he was at a crossroads, contemplating his career. Ultimately, he decided to carry forward his legacy and began working for his ancestral business.
Jinesh says that when he joined the business, the textile industry was not flourishing much, especially ethnic wear. Initially, he himself learned the process from the traditional Safa and Pagdi-making artists. Later, he imparted his knowledge to his employees and family members. Soon he established a team of over a hundred boys in domestic outlets who helped with tying the Pagdis. Gradually, he started supplying across the nation and has built an effective supply chain. Shahi Taj Ethnic Wear became a name to reckon with in the city.
Jinesh feels that without struggle, there is no success. Every person is bound to face obstacles in their life, but the true reality is that it is these struggles that teach us to strive for more and overcome them. They are, in a way, inspiring and motivating for us to work diligently to achieve our goals.
Talking about his achievements, Jinesh shares that he gave his services at the royal wedding of the Ambani family and for Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s wedding. He has also designed varieties of pagdi for the honorable prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi.
During the outbreak of the pandemic, Jinesh says that his business suffered a great deal of loss. Not only did he experience financial loss, but he also suffered a loss in manpower. He says that even though he did not make any profit during this time, his firm and the employees worked on small-scale orders, which kept the business afloat. The only upside was that he got the opportunity to spend more time with his family.
Jinesh believes that a great leader always deals with inverse situations patiently and tries to find a solution no matter what.
If Jinesh gets the chance to go back in time, he would like to relive his younger days, which were filled with motivation and zest to succeed in life.
Whenever Jinesh gets free time, he loves to spend it with his family.
Jinesh’s role models are all the legends, like Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Narendra Modi. He says he learns the positive points from their life stories and, of course, from his father, who has been a constant support system for him.
