Driven by a belief that public service is the true purpose of life, Dr. Jinendra Shastri has dedicated himself to disaster relief and social work. Winner of several awards and felicitations like the ‘Rajasthan Gaurav’, he has helped over 222 affected families and continues selfless service with full devotion.

Dr. Jinendra Shastri, State Coordinator of the BJP Disaster Relief Cell, has been actively associated with public service and disaster relief initiatives across Rajasthan. He was recently honored with the title of ‘Rajasthan Gaurav’ by the Governor of Rajasthan Haribhau Bagde, an achievement he dedicates to the blessings of his seniors and the inspiration of the younger generation.

As the State Coordinator of the BJP Disaster Relief Cell, his primary responsibility involves helping families affected by natural disasters receive government compensation. Whether during the previous Ashok Gehlot government or under the current Bhajanlal Sharma administration, he has continuously worked at the ground level to ensure that financially distressed families receive timely relief after tragic incidents such as lightning strikes, snake bites, drowning accidents, electrocution, and other natural calamities. Under his coordination, compensation worth more than ₹9 crore has been provided to over 222 affected families with the support of BJP workers and public representatives across Rajasthan.

BJP leader Dr. Shastri strongly believes that politics without social responsibility remains incomplete. Reflecting this ideology, he often quotes,

“कर कुछ काम ऐसा जो यादगार बने,

अरे वो काम ही क्या जिसका इतिहास न बने,”

..emphasizing that meaningful work should leave behind a lasting impact. Deeply inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he believes modern politics has transformed into “samajneeti”, where public welfare and service stand above everything else.

According to him, this is the reason why Narendra Modi’s birthday is celebrated not merely as a political occasion but as a Social Service Campaign across villages, wards, booths, and cities throughout the country. He repeatedly highlights the philosophy of “सेवा परमो धर्मः” considering service as the highest form of duty.

Dr. Shastri believes the spirit of service ultimately strengthens both society and organizational leadership. Referring to states like West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, he says the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party in difficult political regions became possible because workers continuously remained active at the grassroots level through public service, organizational meetings, and direct engagement with people.

He especially credits the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and organizational strategists like Sunil Bansal for creating a culture where workers prioritize nation-building, public welfare, and booth-level connectivity over personal comfort or celebrations. According to him, genuine public service eventually creates trust among people and becomes the real foundation of political success.

While describing his work in disaster relief, he explains that although no compensation can replace the loss of a loved one, financial assistance often becomes a major support system for families who suddenly lose their sole earning member. He credits the guidance of leaders like CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Madanlal Rathore for strengthening the culture of grassroots service within the organization. According to him, every responsibility—whether helping disaster victims, maintaining cleanliness, supporting cow protection, or assisting needy families—should be performed with sincerity because no work is small; only thoughts can be small or large.

BJP Disaster Relief Cell State Co-ordinator Dr. Jinendra Shastri recalls the Covid-19 lockdown period of 2020 as one of the most emotionally defining phases of his life. During the nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when fear and uncertainty had gripped the entire country, an incident outside his home deeply moved him.

One day, while sitting near the entrance of his house, he noticed a cow repeatedly hitting the gate. Initially, he ignored it, assuming it was accidental, but when the cow continued standing there and kept striking the gate, he realized that the animal was desperately hungry. After requesting his wife, Dr. Seema Jain, to feed the cow, he observed that even after several rotis, the animal still appeared restless. That moment triggered a larger concern in his mind about the condition of countless cows, dogs, monkeys, birds, and other animals across Udaipur during the lockdown when streets had fallen completely silent.

Motivated by this thought, Dr. Jinendra Shastri joined hands with Rajkumar Borawat and organizations like Arihant Yuva Manch and Akhil Bharatiya Jain Yuva Federation to launch a citywide animal feeding initiative. Initially, only a few personal vehicles were arranged to distribute fodder, grains, bananas, and food for animals, birds, and even aquatic creatures near water bodies.

However, within just a few days, the campaign transformed into a large volunteer-driven movement. Through a simple appeal on Facebook, more than twenty vehicles voluntarily joined the mission, carrying food supplies across different parts of Udaipur. According to him, the movement united people from all communities and backgrounds under one purpose—service toward the voiceless living beings during an unprecedented crisis.

Dr. Shastri considers this entire phase a spiritual experience that strengthened his faith in selfless service. Despite continuously working outside during the lockdown, he remained unaffected by the virus during the most dangerous phase of the pandemic. Even when he later suffered from Covid twice during organizational responsibilities in Dungarpur, he recovered successfully. He believes that sincere acts of compassion toward animals and society create a protective force in life. According to him, good deeds never go to waste and always return in some form of blessing, support, or strength during difficult times.

To explain this philosophy, Rajasthan Gaurav Awardee Dr. Jinendra Shastri often narrates a story about a king and a beggar. In the story, a king is advised that the survival of his kingdom depends upon seeking alms from the first person he meets. At the same time, a beggar dreams of receiving wealth from the king. However, when they finally meet, the king stretches his begging cloth before the beggar instead. Reluctantly, the beggar offers the only single grain from his pouch. Later, while counting his collection, he discovers that another single grain had transformed into a gold coin. Through this story, Dr. Jinendra Shastri explains that whatever a person gives selflessly eventually returns manifold in life. He connects this thought with the Indian philosophy of charity through food donation, knowledge donation, medicine donation, and fearlessness, believing that generosity and service always create positive outcomes for society and for the individual himself.

Social Service Activist Dr. Jinendra Shastri recalls that an early turning point of his life came during his school days when he was studying in class six and living in Hiran Magri’s inner city area of Udaipur. While playing cricket with friends, he noticed a small girl who had apparently lost contact with her family and wandered into their lane. Even at the age of twelve or thirteen, he instinctively felt responsible for helping her. Displaying a natural sense of leadership from a young age, he convinced one of his friends, Navneet Porwal, to accompany him in taking the child safely to the police station.

When the police initially asked them to take the girl back home themselves, he informed his mother about the entire situation. Eventually, through police coordination, the child’s parents reached their home and reunited with her. The grateful family offered him money as appreciation, but he politely refused, saying it was simply his duty. According to him, this incident planted the very first seed of social service in his life and became the emotional beginning of his commitment toward nation service, public welfare, and helping people in distress.

Born on 4 November 1981 in Udaipur, Dr. Jinendra Shastri completed his early education in the city itself until class ten. Later, his father sent him to Jaipur for higher studies at Pandit Todarmal Smarak Bhavan, where another major transformation occurred in his life. During his student years, he actively entered student politics and contested his first college union election at the age of seventeen for the position of Vice President, where he emerged victorious. He later won another election as President of the union in the same institution. After returning to Udaipur for postgraduate studies at Govt. Maharana Acharya Sanskrit College, Udaipur, he again received strong support from students and became the College Union President there as well. These experiences gradually strengthened his public speaking skills, leadership abilities, and deep connection with the youth and organizational work.

He also remembers another emotional childhood incident involving a close friend who met with an accident. When he personally helped shift his injured friend to the hospital and witnessed the helplessness of the elderly grandparents caring for him in the absence of his parents, the experience deeply affected him. That moment reinforced his belief that helping people in pain is one of the most meaningful responsibilities in life. According to him, friendships today often become transactional, where people maintain contacts for personal benefit, whereas genuine human connection should be based on support, compassion, and standing beside others during difficult times.

Although he identifies himself as a dedicated worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party, several national personalities strongly influenced his thinking and leadership style over the years. He was deeply inspired by Balasaheb Thakarey’s fearless personality and commanding style of public leadership. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee also left a lasting impact on him, especially through his decisive leadership during India’s nuclear tests, which, according to Dr. Shastri, established India’s strength before the world.

He further considers Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of his strongest inspirations for rising from the disciplined culture of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to national leadership through dedication and organizational commitment. Apart from Modi, he also admires Amit Shah for his ability to transform challenges into opportunities and remain resilient during difficult situations.

A saying that has influenced his life deeply is:

“छोटा बड़ा कुछ काम कीजिए, परंतु पहले सोच लीजिए,

बिना विचारे यदि काम होगा, अच्छा न उसका परिणाम होगा।”

Through this thought, he emphasizes that every action in life should be performed with seriousness, patience, and proper thinking because decisions taken without thoughtful consideration rarely produce positive outcomes.

For the last twenty-six years, Dr. Jinendra Shastri has continuously traveled across different parts of the country delivering lectures and motivational addresses. Along with his social and organizational work, his contributions have earned him several honors, including more than thirty-eight recognitions such as Yuva Ratna, Jain Ratna, and the prestigious Krishi Samman in Delhi, awarded for his active social contributions and public service efforts.

Public Service Enthusiast Dr. Jinendra Shastri has also been associated with several unique social and cultural initiatives over the years. One of the remarkable achievements in his public life came when he collaborated with the famous magician from Udaipur Aanchal, at Gandhi Ground in an event that was later recorded in the London Book of Records.

During the event, a record was created through a fire escape performance witnessed by a gathering of more than five thousand people, for which both participants received separate honors. Alongside this, he has actively participated in large-scale spiritual and social programs including Akhand Yagya events. Recently, he was appointed Brand Ambassador for a special initiative involving “56 Bhog” offerings across more than 108 ‘gaushalas’, organized by Guru Kamal Chandra Roshan Gau Seva Trust. He credits Sanjay ji and Sweety ji for motivating and trusting him with this responsibility.

A significant part of his social work has remained dedicated to underprivileged children and cow service. Over the years, he has distributed slippers to more than sixty thousand needy children and regularly organizes clothes distribution drives during festivals for over twenty thousand underprivileged boys and girls. He believes that true service often happens silently without seeking publicity, and according to him, the good deeds remembered by God are far more meaningful than public recognition.

This spirit of service is also deeply rooted within his family culture. In his home, every family member maintains a personal “gullak” where a fixed percentage of monthly earnings is kept aside for charitable activities. One belongs to him, another to his wife Dr. Seema, one to his daughter Priyanshi who is preparing for UPSC, and even his younger daughter Shuddhi Jain maintains her own contribution box.

He recalls an emotional moment when his younger daughter chose to celebrate her birthday by donating her savings for organizing “56 Bhog” service in a gaushala. Explaining the spiritual significance behind it, he says that cows are considered sacred in Indian tradition and the offerings are prepared according to a dedicated protocol including jaggery, fodder, dry fruits, and other items served with devotion rather than luxury.

Dr. Shastri also speaks emotionally about two major accidents in his life in which he escaped without even a scratch. He considers those moments as blessings of Gau Mata, his parents, and his family elders including his late father Lakshmichand ji, mother Pushpa Devi, elder brother Manohar ji, and Bharati ji. Through these experiences, he strongly urges people not to remain mere spectators during accidents or tragedies. According to him, recording videos of suffering individuals instead of helping them reflects the decline of humanity.

One incident from 2009–10 deeply transformed his understanding of humanity and faith. While traveling with his wife to attend a wedding function, Dr. Jinendra Shastri witnessed a serious road accident involving a middle-aged man. Seeing the accident, he decided to stop and help the injured stranger.

He personally took the man to the hospital, kept his visiting card in the victim’s pocket for identification, and when doctors urgently required blood, he voluntarily donated his own blood to save the person’s life. Later he learned that the man had recovered successfully. For Dr. Shastri, this incident reinforced his belief that God exists not only in temples, nature, or idols, but within every human act of compassion and selfless service.

Dr. Jinendra shares another deeply personal incident that strengthened his belief in karma, humanity, and divine justice. Some years after the accident incident, his wife enrolled for PhD studies at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. At that time, research on living personalities was generally not permitted, yet she wished to pursue her doctoral work on the literature of Dr. Hukamchand Bharill, whom Dr. Shastri considers his spiritual mentor. During the entrance viva for the PhD process, many members initially rejected the proposal. Dr. Shastri strongly opposed the rejection and argued in support of the subject. During the discussion, one senior professor asked about him and was informed that he was known for fighting public issues and helping people socially. The professor quietly listened without reacting much at that moment.

Later during the evaluation process, that same professor gave a significant share of marks in the viva assessment. Dr. Shastri recalls that the professor eventually recognized him as the very same person who had once helped save his life after the road accident years earlier by donating blood and taking him to the hospital. According to Dr. Shastri, that moment became living proof for him that selfless service never goes unnoticed by destiny.

The professor strongly supported the research proposal during the viva and recommended with full conviction that such meaningful social and literary work deserved approval. His wife eventually completed her PhD successfully and continues participating actively in social, educational, and service-oriented programs. Dr. Shastri openly acknowledges that much of the social work he is able to perform today is possible because of the continuous support and dedication of his wife.

He firmly believes that the values carried by parents directly shape the character of future generations. According to him, the same values that individuals practice in their own lives eventually flow into their children. He emphasizes that a meaningful life is built through righteous actions, compassion, and service, warning that a person who ignores good deeds and family responsibilities may eventually find themselves alone in difficult times.

Speaking about today’s youth, Dr. Shastri observes that many young people are increasingly becoming trapped in material aspirations such as luxury vehicles, wealth, and foreign careers while gradually distancing themselves from family values and responsibilities. He clarifies that ambition itself is not wrong, but selfishness should never overpower relationships and duty toward parents. According to him, service to parents should always come before everything else because the home itself is the first temple of life.

To explain this philosophy, he recalls the Sanskrit line:

“अन्य क्षेत्रे कृतम पापं, धर्म क्षेत्रे विनश्यति।

धर्म क्षेत्रे कृतम पापं, वज्रलेपो भविष्यति।”

Through this thought, he explains that mistakes committed elsewhere may eventually be forgiven through spiritual practice, but wrongdoing committed in sacred spaces or against those deserving respect becomes far more difficult to erase. For him, parents themselves represent the true sacred space deserving lifelong respect and service.

Addressing the youth interested in politics and public life, he advises them to enter the field with integrity, discipline, and strong character. He believes that public life constantly tests a person’s morality, focus, and dedication, and only those who remain grounded in values and self-control are able to serve society meaningfully and sustain long-term success.

Dr. Jinendra Shastri believes that the present time demands not only personal growth but also active participation in nation-building and social responsibility. According to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continuously inspires the youth of the country by encouraging collective progress and public participation. He says India possesses the world’s largest youth population, and if this energy is directed toward constructive work along with service activities, the country can achieve extraordinary heights globally.

He encourages people to include at least some form of selfless service in their lives, whether it is feeding the hungry, distributing clothes, helping animals, or even offering small acts of kindness like feeding ants or birds. For him, these seemingly small deeds gradually shape both personal character and social progress.

Addressing the people of Rajasthan and the entire nation, Dr. Shastri says that India can truly emerge as a “Vishwa Guru” only when ordinary citizens actively participate in solving problems rather than limiting themselves to criticism. He strongly emphasizes that social media complaints alone rarely solve real issues. Instead, he encourages citizens to directly contact concerned departments through letters, emails, or official communication whenever they see problems such as damaged roads or civic issues. According to him, if every citizen sincerely contributes toward solving even a small issue around them, the collective impact can transform the nation significantly.

‘Gau- Sevak’ Dr. Jinendra Shastri also speaks passionately about cow protection and Indian cultural values, expressing hope that Gau Mata receives national recognition and respect through collective awareness and participation. Referring to major national decisions such as the removal of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram Mandir, he says these developments reflect the emotional aspirations of millions of Indians and demonstrate leadership driven by public sentiment and national vision.

BJP Disaster Relief Cell State Co-ordinator Dr Jinendra Shastri further remarks that many statements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are often rooted in larger economic and national concerns, even though they initially appear simple. According to him, leadership requires long-term thinking, sacrifice, and dedication toward public welfare, and he believes the country is moving steadily toward the broader vision of “Mission 2047.” He expresses confidence that India will continue growing as a powerful and respected nation globally through discipline, unity, cultural strength, and active citizen participation.

Concluding his thoughts, Dr. Jinendra Shastri calls upon the youth to dedicate not only their careers but also a portion of their time toward society, national service, and cultural preservation. According to him, true progress comes when personal ambition is balanced with compassion, responsibility, and commitment toward the nation and humanity.
