Jatin Bharwani has been a theater artist for the past five years now. In his career span to date, he has acted in short movies, web series, etc.
Jatin originally hails from a small town named Beawar in Ajmer.
Recollecting his childhood memories, Jatin says that his childhood was spent nicely. His parents provided him with everything that he needed. Besides, he says that he was an introverted kid but would like to play outdoors and also dance. And his dancing ability led him to get the lead role in a play at the school and for the first time, he was exposed to acting and theater.
His Success Mantra is to be stubborn to fulfill his dreams. Besides, he says that you have to keep nurturing yourself to be able to create your name in the field of your interest.
Talking about his mistakes, Jatin says that hailing from a small town, like every other kid there, he too decided to pursue engineering. He went to Kota to prepare for the IIT-JEE but in his two years of preparation for the exam, he realized that he would do anything but engineering. He says, choosing a career for himself without taking into consideration his interests was a mistake he made.
Jatin advises parents to counsel their kids before telling them to choose a particular career for themselves.
Jatin thinks that theater is a different world altogether and doing theater teaches one the skills that one can’t learn otherwise and it makes one a wholesome individual. He proposes that everyone should pursue theater once in their life.
To aspiring theater artists, Jatin advises them to assess whether or not the theater group they have joined teaches them the skills and gives them the exposure that will help them reach where they want to be. Besides, he advises them to join the National School of Drama in New Delhi or other drama schools after high school to further their interest in acting and drama. Furthermore, he advises them to also speak and spend time with their family and friends and not just think of theater all the time to keep depression and anxiety at bay.
Reviewing his COVID experience, Jatin says that the pandemic was a tough period for him as the two short movies he was about to act in could not be filmed owing to the pandemic. However, after some time, he felt that it was important for him to take a break from theater and that’s when he started reading about other theater artists and books on theater which introduced him to the term “Theater in Education” and thus he started teaching acting to other people during the pandemic.
