Japneet Singh Poonia is a tattoo artist and feels that there is much scope in this field if one takes proper training and has a creative eye.

Japneet Singh Poonia was born in Kota. He did his schooling from Central Academy and then did B.Com.

Japneet is a tattoo artist and owns a tattoo studio by the name, ‘Poonia’s Ink’.  Japneet says that earlier he was working in Nosegay Public School in Shri Ganganagar and was looking into its administration.

After working there for some time, he left that job and came back to Kota. He was always interested in tattoo art and hence started learning from Aiden’s Tattoo. He then started working there itself.

After a few years, due to some disagreements regarding work, he left Aiden’s tattoos and started his own freelancing work.

Talking about struggles, Japneet says that his father passed away early in life. He got martyred saving the lives of 18 drowning people on a picnic spot. Japneet says that without his father, everything changed. His mother also went into depression and his elder sister took charge of the family. She only helped Japneet with his studies and managed other things.

Japneet says that he also went to the farmers’ protest at Tikri border in New Delhi. He stayed there for twenty-six days and made eighty tattoos for free. He was also interviewed by many media houses and got good coverage there. He considers this as an achievement in his life. Also, retouching and improving tattoos made by his teacher is also an achievement for him.

Japneet shares that his father is his role model who saved the lives of so many people in front of his eyes.

Japneet opines that the success mantra of his life is to keep patience and not hurry in anything in life.

Japneet feels that youngsters should come in this field as everyone wants a tattoo nowadays.

In his free time, he makes and edits videos related to tattooing and posts them on social media.
