Jaismeet Kaur is a mental health counsellor, yoga trainer, and Director of Dynamic Yoga Studio. She has also been a financial advisor at Max Life Insurance for the last fifteen years.
For people’s well-being, Jaismeet shares valuable insights on adopting healthy dietary habits and harnessing the healing power of food. With a focus on affordability and accessibility, she empowers individuals to utilise simple kitchen ingredients to maintain a healthy lifestyle amidst the prevalent challenges of obesity and limited resources.
Embracing global connections, Jaismeet shares that she devotes her early mornings and evenings to teaching yoga to a diverse audience from all over the world. This cross-cultural exchange has enriched her journey and deepened her passion for spreading the benefits of yoga across borders. She mainly focuses on therapeutic yoga and meditative techniques.
Recalling her childhood, Jaismeet shares that she was born in Bari Sadri, near Chittorgarh district. A carefree and joyful child, she embraced self-love, relished food, and delighted in carefree adventures. At the tender age of ten, she relocated to Udaipur with her family, where she pursued her education. Fast forward to her twenties, and Jaismeet embarked on a new chapter as she tied the knot in Chandigarh. Alongside, she pursued her passion for understanding the human mind, completing her post-graduation in Clinical Psychology.
Delving into her professional endeavours, Jaismeet opens up about her journey that began in 2007 when she embarked on a promising career at ICICI Bank. However, fate had a different plan, as an unfortunate accident in the same year left her bedridden for months with a cracked tailbone. Amidst the challenges and helplessness, Jaismeet discovered solace and inspiration in her visits to gurudwaras, where she realised the profound impact of helping others. This realisation ignited a spark within her, unveiling a newfound purpose to make a positive difference in the world.
Jaismeet started her journey with self-healing and meditation practices. She then started listening to people and their problems. Her life mantra is to set a target, accumulate resources, and manifest her desires. Jaismeet advises everyone to read books and observe successful people to become like them.
Discussing her challenges, Jaismeet says that getting married at an early age came with a shift in the environment from Rajasthan to Chandigarh, especially in terms of job opportunities. So she started her own consulting firm. Life took an unexpected turn, and Jaismeet found herself facing severe health challenges that posed a threat to her very existence. Fortunately, she recovered and decided to come back to Udaipur. Jaismeet befriended yoga and restarted her journey as a financial advisor at Max Life Insurance.
Speaking of her achievements, Jaismeet shares that she has been the recipient of several international awards. Bringing a smile to the faces of people who once used to stay depressed also counts as an achievement for her. Jaismeet is also associated with the Rotary Club to fulfil her social endeavours and has been selected for the position of secretary of her club.
Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Jaismeet emphasises that the success she has achieved thus far is primarily attributed to her valuable experiences. She advises individuals to first determine their area of education and then progressively gain practical experience in their chosen field.
If given the chance to travel back in time through a time machine, Jaismeet would undoubtedly erase the unfortunate incident that caused her accident, as it resulted in her missing out on a higher position at ICICI.
Jaismeet advises everyone to live life in its true sense rather than just chase money. She suggests one should strive to find happiness in little things and learn to be satisfied. Jaismeet emphasises the importance of expressing gratitude for everything one has in their life. She urges people to get over their pasts, as nothing can be undone.
Jaismeet advises yoga enthusiasts and aspiring mental health practitioners to obtain relevant education and come into this field with the idea of helping people. For people willing to become insurance advisors, Jaismeet says they should have financial knowledge and know the market conditions.
