As the vice-principal of a school, Jai Singh is dedicated to providing  his students with better educational services.

Jai Singh Panwar is the Vice-Principal at Rockwoods High School in Udaipur. He has been working in the education field for the past twenty-seven years.

Remembering his childhood, Jai Singh says that his childhood had passed in many parts of India because his father was in the Air Force and got transferred frequently. He says that his sweetest childhood memories are related to Udaipur. He loved going to Gulab Bagh early in the morning after coming to his grandparents' house in Udaipur during summer vacations, and he still misses those days a lot.

Jai Singh says that initially he tried his luck in many competitive exams, like the CDS and the NDA, to join the army, but luck did not favor him. After this, his parents inspired him to pursue a career in education and also let  him do his B.Ed. When he spent a few months as a primary school teacher at The Study School, he decided to opt for the profession.

Recalling his struggles, Jai Singh says that if there was no struggle in life, life would become very monotonous. He goes on to say that his most difficult time was when he had to deal with a lot of financial difficulties while building his house. But he says that he never gave up, and by the grace of God, he was able to overcome the difficult times. Jai Singh says that his struggle taught him money management.

Speaking about his role models, Jai Singh says that he considers his father as his role model. His father was a fighter; despite going through so much hardship, he never gave up. Jai Singh says that he also considers  his former principal at The Study School, Mrs. Asha Sen, as a role model, who shaped his entire personality and groomed him as an administrator.

Sharing his COVID experience, Jai Singh says that the pandemic was a sad and unexpected event of this century. He says that many people lost their near and dear ones, and he also lost his father during this period. However, he says that we should also see the positive side of it, where specialized online education has reached every household. His school made every effort to ensure that the education of the children was not affected in any way during this period. He gives credit to his entire team for successfully conducting online classes.

Jai Singh says that he likes to spend his free time in the jungle clicking pictures of nature's beauty and of birds' landscapes. He says that he has also taken a mountaineering course at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi. Along with mountaineering, he is also very fond of rock climbing and forest camping. He says that he likes the company of nature. Along with this, what relaxes him the most is spending time with his family.

If he gets a time machine to go back in time, Jai would like to go back to his younger days and crack the NDA exam. He says that he would like to fulfill his unfulfilled dream and join the armed forces.

Jai Singh advises candidates that those who want to make teaching their profession must first be patient and serious about it. He says that just like medical care, education carries a lot of responsibility, and that just as when a doctor prescribes incorrect medication, a person's life is at stake, so too is a student's future in the hands of a teacher. That is why someone who can handle this level of responsibility and trust should consider entering this field.
