Jagdish Suthar was born in Udaipur in a family with three brothers and three sisters. He used to work as a painter in his early days but then switched to civil construction after the downfall in the market. He joined politics to serve his country and his city.
समाज के अंतिम व्यक्ति को मदद देना मेरे जीवन का मुख्य उद्देश्य है|
Jagdish says he got immense love and support from the people while working for the party and it is because of them that he has come so far from being a normal worker to a president of the youth committee and now, a general secretary.
Jagdish says his main motto is to build such homes for people, that they are delighted each time they step into it. He says people make homes only once in their lifetime and they are a dream for every individual. So he makes sure that what he delivers is of the best quality and that the person getting his services should be completely satisfied with his work. For the people of Udaipur, Jagdish says:
हमारे शहर में छोटे घरों के लोगों के दिल बड़े हैं|
His main inspiration in life has been his guruji, Anil Sharma when he was a painter, and Himmat Singh Powar who helped him in his political career. He says it’s because of their teachings that he has become the man he is now. When he joined the civil line, his mentor Anil Joshi helped him to learn all the basic work and Jagdish says he considers him as his idol. His brother in law has been his guardian for any ifs and buts in life, other than his professional life.
Jagdish says his next aim is to open parks and facilities for the old age people or वृद्ध-आश्रम , where they can sit, walk and talk. He says it is very important because it’s too dangerous for them to go elsewhere due to the increasing traffic and population in the city. He wants to work towards helping out the less privileged sections of society.
Jagdish says he has sweet and sour memories of his childhood, when he used to play cricket, swim in the lakes, and roam around with his friends. He still remembers the big guard with long mustaches at Gulab Bagh, the place where he used to play cricket in his childhood, and how he used to run upon seeing him coming. He also recalls how his mother used to beat him for coming late with whatever she had in her hands. He says those memories always bring a smile to his face.
Jagdish says he has a fond childhood habit of having his tea at a tea stall near his house and everyone knows where to find him in the morning. He is following this thing for 25 years now and says it is the way of his happiness in life.
Jagdish says education for him didn’t go very well because he was not from a very financially stable family and says he started working when he was just 15 years old. He has a firm belief in God and says if you do your work with honesty and determination, God will help you find the way to success.
कर्म प्रधान है - says Jagdish, who thinks it is the work you do that leads you to the direction you move in life.
If he can travel back in time, he would like to live the life of a saint. Jagdish says the way his nature is, he always used to tell his mother that he was a saint in past lives. The way he has an inner feeling to work for the betterment of society, he thinks he was born for it. He is also a very spiritual person and believes in God.
Other than his profession, Jagdish loves to get involved in religious activities. He actively participates in the arrangements of any upcoming festivals. He loves to play cricket and played it even when he was 43 years old. His love for swimming is unparalleled but because of the infection in his eye now, he has been advised not to swim, which bugs him a lot.
Jagdish says that whatever he is today he has been because of the support of the people and he would want them to keep supporting him so that he can work with more determination and passion for the welfare of society.
