Ishu Gupta is a Yoga Trainer and Chakra Healer. She is also a professional in the IT field.
Talking about her childhood, Ishu says that she hails from Sirsa, Haryana, and had a simple childhood, like any other middle-class child. She says that it was not a very fancy childhood and feels that the definition of happiness has changed over the years. She did her schooling in Sirsa and then moved to Bhiwani for her graduation.
After that, she moved to Delhi in 2008 for her job. After working for ten years in the IT field, she took a break and had her twins. After her delivery, she moved towards yoga in 2020. Gradually, she also started doing Chakra healing and restarted her IT career.
Ishu shares that after having her kids, she was in a phase of depression for one and a half years. She was in a phase where she herself was not able to pinpoint her problems. After the realization of being depressed sunk in, she decided to do something for herself and come out of the phase, as she feels that we should always search for the light within. This is how she came into the field of yoga in 2020.
Initially, she started doing yoga at home and then took a professional yoga training course. Ishu says that the things that she went through during her pregnancy and post-pregnancy phase inspired her to help other women in their pregnancy journeys. For that reason, she took her prenatal and postnatal training courses as well. She says she also does counseling to help mothers come out of a similar phase. She has also started chakra healing and unblocking. After finding stability in this field, she has also started her IT career again.
When asked about her mistakes, she says that she feels that everything is a life lesson. She feels that either we do good in life or learn lessons, and says that she desired to control everything in life but realized soon that you cannot have it all. Now she knows that we cannot control everything in life. She also feels that it's better to change ourselves and not expect others to change, as if we change ourselves, everything automatically settles for the better.
Speaking about her role models, Ishu says that our circumstances and our struggles are our real role models, as they make you into a better person in life. She says that it was her own issues that inspired her to take up yoga, which eventually made a better person out of her.
Talking about her inspiration, Ishu says that her mother is the one for her, as she was the one who supported her during the lowest phase of her life. Also, her kids are her inspiration, as she started thinking about herself after having kids.
Advising everyone, Ishu says that we should focus on our ‘breathing’ as it is the most powerful thing in life. She feels that from our emotions to our thoughts, everything is based on our breathing, and it is a weapon that should be utilized effectively.
Ishu says that yoga is something that can be done by everyone, no matter what their age. She says that we should build a strong foundation in yoga before moving to a higher level of asanas.
In her free time, she likes dancing and spending time with her kids. She also sometimes writes short poems.
