Isha Nisar is an IIM-Ahmedabad student. She wants to break the dogma of early marriages, and wants to become an independent woman and rule the world.

Isha was born and brought up in Mumbai. She did her graduation from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and currently she is pursuing her Masters at IIM-Ahmedabad. In the summer break of 2021, she worked as an intern in the sales and marketing team of Hindustan Unilever where she was assigned to the brand team of Surf Excel.

After watching the movie Two States, it was Isha’s dream to join IIM-Ahmedabad to pursue her Masters in the field of management. She attempted the CAT examination multiple times but everytime she tried she faced some or the other issue which hindered her performance in the examination. Be it a bad migraine or a threatening dengue fever, nothing could stop Isha from achieving her dreams and she finally cracked the examination, scoring 99.37 percentile and joined IIM-Ahmedabad in 2019.

Right after she joined, the Covid-19 pandemic happened and Isha was stuck at her home with the online mode of teaching. All her plans failed and Isha was disheartened. Luckily, being an extrovert person, Isha was still able to make friends in her batch online. In October she got a chance to visit the campus and was really happy as finally, her dream came true.

The 2020 batch of CAT aspirants started messaging Isha on how to study and what to study. Initially, she was replying to everyone but then she thought it was a better idea to write a blog and reach a greater audience. Subsequently, Isha started writing a blog and hoped it would at least reach two hundred people but to her surprise, her blog crossed two lakh views which was a big achievement for her. Another achievement for her was to get selected in Hindustan Unilever and work in the team of Surf Excel to create a national-level ad. Although, it was a challenge for her as her target region was Tamil Nadu and she was very perplexed about the nature and culture of the people living in the state but nothing could stop her to get all the consumer insights she wanted.

In the future, Isha wants to start her own enterprise and bring a change in the society. She also wants to give back to society and support women empowerment. She wants to earn a lot of money to be able to travel to space.

Isha’s role model in life is her father who built his business from scratch. Her father has taught her the never-give-up attitude and Isha is always motivated and inspired by him. Her father ensured that she grew strong enough to face any challenges in life which has always pushed Isha to strive for more.

Isha believes a leader is a person who has the solution to all the problems and a never-give-up attitude.

If she could go back in time, Isha would pursue a career in engineering.

In her free time, Isha loves to spend time with her friends and do some social work.
