Hailing from Surat, Gujarat, Isha Mistry, a 26-year-old woman, leads a remarkable life filled with academic achievements and social initiatives. Having completed four degrees, she is currently pursuing her fifth.
Alongside her role as a Teaching Assistant and Placement Officer at a college, she runs the "Spread Khushi" community—a group of enthusiastic youngsters who dedicate their Saturdays or Sundays to various social causes, such as teaching and providing basic amenities to those in need. Although "Spread Khushi" is not an NGO or trust, they receive support from people who are encouraged by their noble mission. The community, consisting of 17 individuals, actively helps parents who do not allow their children to pursue an education.
Isha's childhood roots can be traced back to a village, where she attended a Gujarati medium government school until the age of twelve. Despite the transition to an English medium BBA program in the city, she excelled and graduated with distinction. Continuing her educational journey, she pursued a Master's Degree in HRM, ranking second in her class. She further expanded her knowledge by completing PGTCSR and a post-graduate diploma in research methodology. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA, as she has a passion for continuous learning and aims to attain five degrees by the age of 26. Her future plans also include pursuing a Ph.D.
The inspiration for her social work came from observing her parents. While she formally established the "Spread Khushi" community three years ago, she had been engaged in small-scale social initiatives since her college days. The name of the community, "Spread Khushi," was inspired by an incident where she distributed balloons to children on the streets, witnessing their overwhelming happiness.
Isha considers her parents as her primary role models, and Dr. Preeti Desai, one of her teachers in college, holds a significant place in her heart. She also draws leadership inspiration from individuals like MS Dhoni and Narendra Modi.
Despite her accomplishments, Isha faces a challenge in the form of extensive traveling. With her college situated around 25 kilometers away from her home, commuting remains a significant hurdle for her.
Isha's achievements include her role as the CSR head in the Women Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she holds the distinction of being the youngest counseling member.
Isha's message to society is to embrace ethics and dedication in life.
