From being a medical student to a Visharad in Kathak, Hridya Khatri is an enthusiastic fashionista running her own thrift store. Hridaya feels that one should go for it and do what their heart says.

Hridya Khatri is from Udaipur and runs her own thrift store.

Hridya is a second-year medical student with her heart dedicated to fashion. She did her schooling at St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School.

When she was in 11th standard, she came across a journalist from The Times of India through her blog. She gave Hridya an opportunity to work under her and that is how she entered the field of journalism and started writing on various topics like sustainability and being eco-friendly.

During her writing stint, she came across the concept of ‘thrifting’ which was also based on the concept of sustainability and opening your own wardrobe for others, and creating a store.

After some time, Hridya was contacted by a brand that was creating a platform of influencers from India and bringing them onto one stage. However, it kept delaying and Hridya thought of starting something of her own and started her Thrift store in June 2021. She had to research a lot about the field and collaborated with two delivery services to complete her orders.

Hridya feels that leadership is all about being confident within and showing a strong self to the outer world. She also feels that a leader is not always right and should have an understanding nature.

When asked about her role models, Hridya says that her parents are her role models and especially her mother. Her mother is a working woman and has always motivated Hridaya to do something great in her career as well.

Hridya shares that she used to be a very quiet and introverted child in her school days and if given a Time Machine she would like to be more outwards and participative in social circles.

In her free time, she likes to engage in photoshoots related to her thrift store.
