Hitesh Jain is a software developer at Qualcomm India, a US-based company known for designing and manufacturing telecommunication products.
Hitesh works for the 5G development team. He does software programming for the latest 5G mobile phones. He and his team develop a protocol stack that takes care of connectivity between the mobile phones in any environment apart from other technological requirements. He went to the U.S.A last year for three months to launch the 5G technology in the latest smartphones.
Hitesh has been a software developer for the past four years. He joined Qualcomm in April 2019, before that he worked at a Bangalore based company, where he used to work for the 4G development team.
Hitesh spent his childhood in a village called “Devupra” which was 25-28 Km away from Udaipur, where he completed his 10th. His best memory is of him and his friends playing cricket. Later, he moved to Udaipur to continue higher studies. He studied 11th and 12th in MDS school in Udaipur.
He appeared for the IIT entrance exams but didn't qualify for the same. Scoring just 51% in the 12th Examination in CBSE board, he took admission in Techno India NJR college in the electrical engineering department. That was a tough period for him as he was unable to score good marks in the semesters too. However, he was pretty good at Mathematics and always scored high marks in the subject.
When he was in his fourth semester, Hitesh happened to attend a training session about IOT organised by an education company called Endurance which got him interested in computer programming. During training, he realized that he was good at programming and should pursue that. He went to Mumbai to complete his internship in Endurance. After completing the internship in his 4th year he returned to Udaipur only to realize that his father needed medical attention as he was suffering from paralysis. His father died in the same year, which was a devastating moment for him.
Later he got the chance to move to Bangalore where he was trained to become a C language developer. After giving interviews with many different companies, he realized that he must never stop in life, we must keep moving in life as it waits for none. He was under remorse as he spent all his father's income on his IIT coaching and that he was unable to give any output of that
He was selected in a company named MIMO Wireless Company. He still remembers he was unable to speak English as it was a weak spot for him, however, it never let his self-esteem down. He focussed on the positive vibes and the skills he had. After spending two years in the company he left the job and was selected by Qualcomm. Immediately after joining Qualcomm, he bagged the opportunity to go to the U.S. where he was recognized by his teammates and his managers as his work there was excellent.
His role model in his life from the beginning has always been his mother. She had done a lot for him. Hitesh says he never plans for long term goals as they are quite unpredictable. He plans short term goals for two-three years. Another thing he would like to mention is that the difference between him and a college fresher is experience. He believes nobody is an exception, you can do everything that successful people have achieved. All you need to give is time to achieve your goals. Your passion and determination are the only requirements to achieve your goals.
If he gets a chance to go back in time he would like to spend time with his father.
Hitesh believes that leadership comes with experience. and by observing other leaders. He says if you observe all the multinational companies the reason behind their success is that they have good leaders. He has always believed that working in a team is always fruitful as you have many brains with you and all of your teammates give different ideas thus improving your throughput.
Hitesh advises that always follow your interest no matter what the conditions are. Keep going regardless of what people think and say, your passion and determination will take you to your success.
