Hitesh Dantya is a front office manager at Hotel Udai Median. He provides all the necessary services to his guests to make sure they have a good experience at the hotel.

Hitesh Dantya is a front office manager at Hotel Udai Median, Udaipur. He was born and brought up in the city and lives with his family. He has a son and a daughter. He completed his schooling at Guru Nanak School in Udaipur. He started his career in the hotel industry with a six-month training in Shiv Niwas Palace, under the HRH Group of Hotels.  He was self-inspired to work in the hospitality sector because he wanted to be successful in life. He moved up the ladder from being an assistant to a manager in the hotel industry in the past 14 years. His hotel provides guests with the most luxurious experience and the largest rooms as compared to the other hotels in the area.

Hitesh says his father has been his biggest inspiration. He says the struggles his father has seen in his life cannot be explained in words, as he was blind. Despite his blindness, his father used to teach music in a school near his house. Hitesh also faced struggles when he first started as an assistant because he was in an inferior post and had to do everything his seniors asked of him. His duty hours were also very long but he never gave up because he wanted to reach his goal in life.

Hitesh is very grateful to his previous managers, the way they supported him when he first started in this industry. He says they are his idols in life and he would not have succeeded without their support.

For anyone who wants to enter the hospitality sector, Hitesh says it is very important to have both theoretical and practical knowledge. If they know just theory, they cannot achieve the level of success they want.

Hitesh says one of his friends calls him by the name ‘Raja Babu’ because he is a self-made leader. He says he was not a born leader but being a manager, he learned how to manage things and people who are working under his supervision, and that has helped him acquire leadership skills.

During the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown period, Hitesh says he enjoyed being with his family all the time. The time he spent with his parents and kids was very precious and helped him bond even better with them. He would want to carry on this bond for the rest of their lives.

Hitesh remembers how he used to go to his school in his childhood. Not having a vehicle, he used to travel on foot or by climbing at the back of other school buses. He used to have a lot of fun with his friends in school.

In his free time, Hitesh loves to play with his kids and spend time with his parents. He says his kids are a big stress buster for him when he gets back home from work.
