Dr. Hitendra Singh Chouhan originally hails from Udaipur. After completing high school with a science-biology stream, he chose to study physiotherapy. He completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Geetanjali College of Physiotherapy.
Dr. Hitendra says that initially he did not have much idea or clarity as to why he wanted to pursue physiotherapy. It was a new course back then, and it was suggested to him that if he pursued this course, he would have Dr. added as a prefix before his name. But when he actually studied this course, he realized the importance of it.
After completing his bachelor's, Dr. Chouhan started his own clinical practice. He worked at his own clinic for a couple of years. Later, he worked at GBH American Hospital, Udaipur, as a clinician. Meanwhile, he realized that if he wanted to grow further in his field, he would have to gain more knowledge. So he pursued masters in the same discipline. After completing his masters, he started working as an assistant professor at Geetanjali College of Physiotherapy, Udaipur. Now he is working as both an assistant professor and a clinician at the same institution.
Dr. Hitendra really feels content when he is able to treat his patients. Hitendra says that, especially during this pandemic, we are mostly working on computers, and we don’t maintain a correct posture at times, which may lead to various sorts of muscle pain later. So he advises us to maintain the correct posture all the time and not live a sedentary life.
Dr. Chouhan believes that above all the materialistic things in the world, it’s the health of a person that is most important. If you have everything but good health, then you have nothing.
Hitendra is quite good at mimicry. He can mimic twenty different voices.
