Being passionate towards his career as an educationist, Hisamuddin Sheikh is an aficionado of architecture and has made a name for himself in the field of civil engineering through his hard work and dedication towards his profession.

Hisamuddin Sheikh is a lecturer in the Civil Engineering department at Pacific University.

Hisamuddin acquired his primary and secondary education from St. Xavier's School and Guru Nanak Public School respectively. He opted to appear for a competitive exam to become an engineer and chose Science-maths as his subjects in the senior secondary phase of his education. He did his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Vidhya Bhawan Polytechnic Institute after which he moved on to pursue his B.tech in the same. After his graduation, in order to gain some experience of the field work, Hisamuddin worked at a construction site. After two years, he got an opportunity to join Pacific University as a lecturer in its Civil Department.

Hisamuddin’s role model in life is his uncle who is a mining engineer. His uncle was the topper of his batch and pursued his dreams with utmost dedication and determination, while also serving his family very well. Looking at his uncle, Hisamuddin was also motivated to become a successful engineer like him. Hisamuddin believes that one should not take pauses in life and keep moving forward until their goal is reached. If they utilize their time well, results of the past will move forward with them to the future and help them succeed in life.

Talking about his leadership qualities, Hisamuddin says he never held himself back whenever there was a chance to be a leader. In his senior year in college, he was on the election committee. He also used to ask his teachers very promptly if he ever faced trouble or if there was a doubt in his head.

Hisamuddin always tries to give his best when it comes to teaching. He always tries to teach his students in such a pattern that they understand the practical purpose of the subject and  never face the problems that he used to face when he was their age.

If he could go back in time, Hisamuddin would like to go to his tenth standard and pursue biology as his mainstream subject and become a doctor.

Hisamuddin concludes with very wise words. He says that when a seed is sown into the ground, no one knows about its existence. After several rains, when it finally starts to grow and becomes a plant, people notice the plant that it has become, but no one can see the struggles it had to face to be what it is today. Similarly, hard work and perseverance cannot be seen but without them, a person can never be successful in life.
