Saloni Nebhani, Founder and Director of FlipFlop Digital Learning (FFDL), Udaipur, is transforming the way students approach education by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry-ready skills.

FFDL is an EdTech and skill development institute focused on practical, project-based, and technology-driven learning. With the institute set to complete 10 years in 2027, Saloni Nebhani has built a platform where students and professionals can develop skills aligned with the evolving demands of the modern workplace.

With 15 years of teaching experience, Saloni Nebhani has guided and trained more than 2,500 students, helping them build confidence, practical knowledge, and career-oriented skills. Her approach goes beyond conventional classroom education. She strongly believes that students should not only earn degrees and certificates but should also know how to apply their knowledge in real-world situations.

Her core philosophy at FFDL is “Learn While You Do.” Students are encouraged to work on live projects, develop practical solutions, participate in internships, and gain industry exposure. The institute provides training in emerging and in-demand areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), LLM Models, Agentic AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Digital Marketing, Programming, Coding, Graphic Designing, Mobile Application Development, and other digital technologies.

FFDL is not limited to students. Professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, and individuals also approach the institute to improve their digital marketing skills, understand technology, and strengthen their businesses. Saloni Nebhani particularly focuses on students who have completed technical degrees such as B.Tech but still lack practical exposure to technologies such as LLMs, Agentic AI, programming, and mobile application development.

At FFDL, learners are encouraged to build and execute projects rather than simply study theoretical concepts. She believes that a difficult job market does not mean that opportunities have disappeared. According to her, students with relevant and practical skills can create opportunities for themselves through employment, remote work, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and startups.

As part of her effort to connect learners with the real world, Saloni Nebhani has also launched a podcast titled “Talks with Saloni,” where industry experts and professionals share their experiences, career paths, and insights into technology and digital industries.

Saloni Nebhani began her professional career in 2013 as a teacher, primarily teaching Accounts, Economics, Business Studies, Mathematics, and other Commerce-related subjects. Her teaching experience helped her develop a strong understanding of students, business concepts, calculations, and practical learning.

Coming from a Commerce background, she initially had no direct connection with the technical industry. However, her professional experiences gradually made her realise that students needed much more than academic knowledge. She herself had experienced the limitations of a traditional education system, where practical exposure and access to digital resources were limited.

The COVID-19 pandemic became a major turning point in Saloni Nebhani’s professional life. As education suddenly shifted online, she realised how important digital skills had become. A teacher who had traditionally taught subjects such as Accounts now had to understand digital platforms and online teaching. This experience made her realise that digital literacy was essential not only for students but also for teachers, parents, homemakers, and professionals.

During that period, she began exploring the digital world more deeply and pursued an MBA in Digital Marketing. She later expanded her knowledge by completing an AI Strategy Course from Technical and Further Education (TAFE), Australia. Through these experiences, she developed a deeper understanding of Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, LLMs, NLP, Marketing Analytics, Online Advertising, and other emerging technologies.

During COVID, Saloni Nebhani taught students free of cost. Seeing students learn, improve their skills, secure jobs, and move towards successful careers gave her immense satisfaction. These experiences became a major inspiration behind developing FFDL as a full-fledged skill development initiative.

FFDL initially developed through online education, with courses being conducted on online platforms around 2016. From 2017 to 2021, the institute was operating through online classes, while in 2021, its physical institute was established in Udaipur.

Her professional evolution from Commerce teacher to Digital Educator, Technology Trainer, and EdTech Entrepreneur reflects her willingness to continuously learn and adapt according to the changing needs of society.

Saloni Nebhani was born and brought up in Udaipur, Rajasthan. She completed her schooling from St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School in Udaipur itself, followed by her graduation also done in Udaipur. She pursued her post-graduation from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and later completed a diploma course from Technical and Further Education (TAFE), Australia.

Her academic specialization was in Accounts and Mathematics. She has always enjoyed numbers, calculations, and analytical thinking. Although her professional career has gradually moved from commerce and teaching into technology and digital education, her love for calculations continues to influence her work.

Today, she applies this analytical mindset not only to financial calculations but also to areas such as Digital Marketing, LLM Models, NLP, Marketing Advertisements, Data-driven Marketing, and Agentic AI. She says that the ability to understand numbers and analyse situations has helped her adapt to the digital world.

Saloni Nebhani also states that her entry into education was influenced by her own early-life experiences. Due to financial challenges, she did not have the kind of exposure and digital facilities available to today’s generation. During her school and college years, there was no easy access to the internet, artificial intelligence, or digital learning platforms. She often had to visit cyber cafés to search for information and explore opportunities.

These limitations stayed with her and eventually became part of her vision. She wanted to provide today’s generation with the opportunities, resources, and digital exposure that she could not easily access during her own educational years.

For Saloni Nebhani, education is about the quality of influence a teacher creates. She believes that being a good teacher is more important than simply gathering a large number of students. Her priority is to understand the learners, guide them with care, and help them become capable and confident individuals.

Nebhani greatly admires her sister, Manisha, who pursued a B.Tech in Information Technology. Coming from a Commerce background herself, she often wondered how she could enter the technical and digital world.

Her sister’s technical education and exposure became an important source of inspiration for Saloni. Manisha encouraged Saloni Nebhani to look beyond her traditional field and explore technology and digital skills.

This influence played an important role in Saloni Nebhani’s transition from Commerce and teaching to Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence, LLM Models, and technology-driven education. Her transformation demonstrates that professional boundaries can be crossed when a person has the willingness to learn.

Another major role model in Saloni Nebhani’s life is her school teacher, Deepika Vali Ma’am, from St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School, Udaipur.

Saloni Nebhani remembers her teacher as practical, straightforward, and honest. During her school days, her teacher’s direct way of speaking sometimes felt difficult to accept. However, as she grew older, she began to understand the wisdom behind those lessons.

Today, as an educator herself, Saloni Nebhani tries to handle students with love, care, patience, intelligence, and practical understanding—qualities that remind her of Deepika Ma’am.

Whenever she faces a hurdle or difficult situation, she remembers the lessons taught by her teacher. Deepika Ma’am’s influence continues to shape Saloni Nebhani’s approach to teaching and student guidance.

Saloni Nebhani’s biggest professional motivation comes from seeing her students succeed. She says that one of the happiest moments of her life is when a student secures a dream job after being trained and guided by her.

She perceives that the Indian education system still has a significant gap between academic qualifications and practical skills. Students may earn degrees and certificates, but many do not know how to perform tasks in a real workplace or understand what industry exposure actually means.

This is the gap that FFDL attempts to address through practical learning, live projects, internships, skill development, and industry exposure.

Saloni Nebhani feels that students should not simply make notes about Accounts, for example, but should actually work on accounting software such as Tally and understand how accounting functions in professional environments. Similarly, if students study Artificial Intelligence, they should not only read theoretical chapters but also experiment with AI tools, create projects, and understand practical applications.

She has also observed that many school students in Udaipur lack even basic computer knowledge. Her association with the Skill India–NSDC programme as a Master Trainer has strengthened her understanding of the importance of introducing digital skills at an early stage.

Another challenge she identifies is the limited number of IT companies and technology-driven employment opportunities in Udaipur. Students who want to remain in Udaipur may find it difficult to locate suitable IT jobs despite completing skill-development courses.

For this reason, Saloni Nebhani encourages students to think beyond conventional employment and explore remote jobs, freelancing, startups, entrepreneurship, and opportunities in other cities.

She also thinks that expectations can sometimes become a source of disappointment. One of the lines that guides her personal and professional life is:

“Expectation leads to disappointment.”

For her, the gap between what we expect and what actually happens can create disappointment. She therefore tries to remain practical, accept situations, and focus on learning and improvement.

Saloni Nebhani also draws positive energy from Lord Ganesha. Every Wednesday, she visits a Ganesha temple, shares her thoughts and problems, and finds peace and clarity. This practice helps her remain positive and mentally prepared to handle challenges.

Saloni Nebhani’s achievements extend beyond establishing FFDL. In the earlier phase of her career, she worked as a teacher of Mathematics and Accounts and actively participated in NGO initiatives related to women’s empowerment. Through her educational and social contributions, she received various awards and recognitions.

Her work has also received recognition from organisations and companies, including Arcgate in Udaipur. For Saloni Nebhani, recognition is not merely a certificate or award; it is a source of motivation that encourages her to continue contributing to education and society.

One of her most meaningful achievements is the trust she has earned from her students. She recalls a former student who had moved to Ahmedabad for a job but later left the position because she felt that she lacked certain skills. After returning to Udaipur, the student came back to meet Saloni Nebhani and expressed her desire to learn and improve herself.

What made the moment particularly special was that the student’s parents themselves advised her to meet “Saloni Ma’am,” believing that she would understand her situation and guide her properly.

For Saloni Nebhani, this trust was more valuable than an award. She considers it a major achievement that students and their families continue to approach her not only for education but also for guidance and understanding. She thinks that when a student returns to a teacher even after completing formal training because they trust that teacher’s guidance, it reflects the true impact of education.

Saloni Nebhani has a strong message for the youth: do not depend only on degrees, certificates, or placement security. Build skills. She encourages students to focus on practical knowledge, real projects, industry exposure, and continuous learning rather than limiting themselves to theoretical or bookish education.

At FFDL, students are encouraged to work on capstone projects, develop their own ideas, build practical solutions, and explore entrepreneurship. Saloni Nebhani feels that students should not always be job seekers; they should also consider becoming job creators and entrepreneurs.

Her message is clear that Learn The Skills, build something of your own, and step into the future with confidence.

She particularly encourages young people to explore Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, LLMs, Agentic AI, Digital Marketing, Coding, Programming, NLP, Graphic Designing, and other emerging technologies, because, in future, work will increasingly depend on digital capabilities.

For women, Saloni Nebhani’s message is equally powerful: be independent, work for yourself, create your own identity, and change your thinking. She believes that an empowered woman can create positive change in her family, community, and society.
