Moh. Nazim Ashraf is the Founder and CEO of Syna Infotek Electronics & Gadgets, established in 2019. For the past seven years, the company has been engaged in the wholesale business of electronics and telecommunication products for IT companies, along with retail and enterprise solutions. All three business verticals are led by Moh. Nazim and his team, providing services across Pune and Maharashtra.

Ashraf shares that the company's primary focus is customer satisfaction, and it strives to provide the best technology at affordable prices. The company deals with both multinational and Indian brands and is an authorized partner of HP, Dell, Lenovo, and ASUS. It also offers MacBooks, a wide range of accessories, and computer peripherals such as monitors, printers, and other laptop and desktop essentials, catering to diverse personal, business, and enterprise requirements.

Talking further about the company's offerings, Nazim Ashraf shares that Syna Infotek provides a comprehensive range of electronics, from large home appliances to small kitchen appliances. The company deals in leading brands such as Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Bosch, Daikin, and Whirlpool, along with kitchen appliance brands like Havells and Crompton.

In the telecom segment, Syna Infotek offers smartphones and accessories from all major brands, including Apple iPhone, Oppo, Vivo, and others. Through its retail business, Syna Infotek Electronics & Gadgets caters to the needs of students, homemakers, professionals, and corporate clients, providing quality products at competitive prices. The showroom features an extensive range of products on display and offers value-added services such as after-sales support and convenient finance options. As an authorized dealer, the company facilitates purchases through credit and debit cards, as well as financing solutions from Bajaj Finance, HDB Financial Services, and TVS Credit, making technology more accessible to its customers.

Adding further, Nazim Ashraf shares that Syna Infotek also operates a Reseller and Distribution Business, supplying authorized products to retailers and shopkeepers across the region. Through its distribution network, the company supports businesses with genuine products and reliable supply chain services.

Apart from retail and distribution, Syna Infotek specializes in providing end-to-end corporate IT solutions. Its services include Cloud Solutions, Microsoft 365, Servers, Commercial Desktops, All-in-One Printers, IT Infrastructure, Computer Laboratories, Cloud Computing, and Surveillance Systems. The company caters to a diverse clientele, including government departments, private organizations, banks, educational institutions, and corporate enterprises across Pune and Maharashtra.

Sharing what motivated him to enter the business world, the Founder and CEO of Syna Infotek, Moh. Nazim Ashraf, shares that he completed his B.Tech. in Computer Science, followed by an MBA in Marketing. He later moved to Delhi, where he worked with Intex Technologies (India) Ltd, one of India's emerging IT companies at the time. Under the guidance of the company's Chairman and CMD, Narendra Bansal, he gained valuable industry knowledge and practical experience. Ashraf considers this phase of his professional career as the turning point that shaped his entrepreneurial vision and laid the foundation for his future business career.

Adding further, Nazim Ashraf shares that his tenure at Intex Technologies was an enriching learning experience. He worked with the company for nearly ten years, gaining extensive industry exposure and valuable insights under the guidance of his mentor CMD Narendra Bansal. He says this phase of his professional career played a significant role in shaping his leadership capabilities, business acumen, and understanding of the Electronics and IT Industry.

He further shares that during the last three years of his association with Intex Technologies, he served as the National Head for two business verticals, overseeing operations across India and managing a team of nearly 300 professionals.

Recalling another significant milestone in his career, Ashraf shares that in 2011, he met Kishor Jaiswani, Managing Director of Pacific Infotech Ltd., whose guidance and encouragement inspired him to grow further in his professional life. Their association later evolved into a business partnership, during which Ashraf worked closely with Pacific Infotech Pvt. Ltd., contributing to the management and expansion of the company's operations.

IT Entrepreneur Moh. Nazim Ashraf further shares that Pacific Infotech was previously a Tier-1 Partner of Sony VAIO (Visual Audio Intelligent Organizer) for West India, with a business turnover of approximately ₹400 crores. During his association with the company, he was entrusted with overseeing these operations and continued working with Pacific Infotech until 2019.

However, he says that throughout his career in the distribution business, he always felt that while the industry was dynamic, exciting, and full of opportunities to learn about emerging technologies and brands, it also had its limitations. One aspect that particularly concerned him was the lack of direct interaction with end customers. Although the company supplied products to customers through its network of channel partners, it was often difficult to understand the end users' experiences, feedback, and satisfaction with the products. This realization inspired him to envision a business model that would allow him to connect directly with customers and better understand their needs.

Recognizing this gap between manufacturers and consumers in understanding the actual user experience and product quality, Nazim Ashraf decided to build a business that would bridge this disconnect. After the COVID-19 pandemic, he, along with his team, established Syna Infotek Electronics & Gadgets as an entrepreneurial venture, focusing on Retail, Trading, and Enterprise Solutions.

Drawing upon the strong industry relationships he had built over the years, Ashraf partnered with leading brands, including Lenovo Commercial, Sony VAIO, and several other technology companies. Leveraging his extensive corporate network and industry expertise, he successfully expanded the business across Maharashtra, providing technology solutions to individual customers, businesses, and corporate clients while building long-term relationships based on trust, quality, and service.

Alongside serving business and corporate clients, Nazim Ashraf expanded Syna Infotek's presence by collaborating with engineering colleges and educational institutions across Pune, including VIT Pune. The company has undertaken projects for setting up computer laboratories and IT infrastructure for engineering, medical, and hotel management departments. It has also contributed to major corporate and infrastructure projects, including assignments for Pune Metro, office IT setups, and technology solutions for leading organizations.

Ashraf further shares that over the years, Syna Infotek has worked with renowned technology companies such as Honeywell Technologies, Microsoft, Dell, and Cisco, enabling the company to deliver comprehensive IT and enterprise solutions to a diverse client base.

He explains that his primary objective has always been to build direct relationships with end users, whether individual customers or large corporate organizations. According to him, a conventional distribution business largely revolves around the movement of products through multiple intermediaries, where interaction with the end customer is minimal. While such a model facilitates product distribution, it often limits valuable feedback from the people who actually use the products.

Ashraf believes that by working directly with end user customers, every stakeholder—including the customer, the manufacturer, and the solution provider—remains actively involved in understanding requirements and delivering the most suitable solutions. This customer-centric approach and his desire to bridge the gap between manufacturers and end users became the driving force behind establishing Syna Infotek Electronics & Gadgets in 2019.

Born and brought up in Bhagalpur District of Bihar, Moh. Nazim Ashraf completed his senior secondary education in his hometown. Being the youngest among his siblings, he always aspired to become an engineer. Inspired by the computers at his school, he developed a keen interest in technology and dreamt of building a career in computers and software.

He later pursued his B.Tech from Terna College of Engineering after shifting to Dharashiv District (formerly Osmanabad) in Maharashtra. Seeking better opportunities for higher studies and professional growth, he subsequently moved to a bigger city. There, he got the opportunity to work under the guidance of Narendra Bansal at Intex Technologies (India) Ltd., where he gained valuable knowledge and laid a strong foundation for his professional career.

Moh. Nazim Ashraf further shares that one of his greatest sources of motivation has always been the words of his mentor, Chairman and CMD of Intex Technologies, Narendra Bansal. According to him, one must never be afraid of learning, as every experience—whether it results in success or loss—offers valuable lessons if approached with the right mindset. He also believes that honesty is the foundation of any successful business and often advises that one should never lie to customers, but always speak the truth. These principles have inspired Ashraf to become a better professional and a better individual in life.

He also shares a valuable life lesson passed down by his grandmother. She always taught him that if someone entrusts you with a task worth ₹100, complete it with such dedication and excellence that it feels like work worth ₹1,000 has been delivered. According to her, this approach ensures that opportunities will always come your way, and you will never feel the lack of work or purpose. She also instilled in him the belief that ‘Work is Worship’—there is no such thing as small or big work. Every task deserves to be carried out with honesty, sincerity, and dedication, as work itself is the foundation of growth.

Engineer and Entrepreneur Moh. Nazim considers J. R. D. Tata and Ratan Tata as his inspirations. Recalling his childhood, he shares that India, despite being a vast country, had only a handful of companies at that time. Although he was often teased by people around him for dreaming of becoming like Tata or Birla, he challenged his own thoughts and beliefs and remained determined to become a successful entrepreneur like them.

He always admires the Tata Group for the respect and dignity it offers its employees, to the extent that working for Tata is often regarded with the same pride and security as a government job. This inspired him to understand how a company can grow into a trusted enterprise while creating a workplace where every employee feels valued and respected.

Speaking about his academic inspiration, Ashraf says he considers Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam to be his role model. He is deeply inspired by Dr. Kalam's unwavering dedication, hard work, and immense contribution to India's missile technology, which brought global recognition to the nation. Dr. Kalam's simplicity, humility, and lifelong commitment to serving society motivate Nazim to dedicate his own efforts towards creating a positive impact.

For Moh. Nazim Ashraf, success begins with a simple yet powerful belief: "Think Big, Start Small." He believes that every great achievement begins with a small step. According to him, when a person starts with limited resources and takes calculated risks, there is very little to lose but endless opportunities to learn and grow. He feels that no idea is too small to begin with, and with consistent dedication, hard work, and perseverance, even the smallest initiative can grow into something remarkable. This philosophy continues to motivate him to dream big while taking practical steps towards achieving his goals.

Reflecting on the challenges of his early life, Moh. Nazim Ashraf shares that he grew up with two brothers and a sister. He lost his father at the tender age of four, after which he was raised by his grandmother. His uncle played a significant role in his upbringing by ensuring that he received a quality education and constantly encouraging him to strive for a better future.

Growing up in a small town with limited educational opportunities, Nazim did not have many memorable experiences from his school days. However, he remained focused on one goal—to continue learning, pass every examination with determination, and move forward in life. Despite the hardships and limited resources, he never allowed his circumstances to define his ambitions, choosing instead to work steadily towards a brighter future.

Continuing his story, Moh. Nazim Ashraf recalls that financial challenges became even more demanding after he enrolled in engineering college. Coming from a modest background, with his grandmother and uncle being the primary earners, managing the expenses of higher education was difficult. To support himself and to ease the financial burden on his family, he worked part-time while pursuing his B.Tech, successfully completing his education through determination and perseverance.

After graduating, he secured his first job at a small firm in Delhi during 1997–1998, where he earned a monthly salary of ₹4,000. He worked there for nearly a year before moving to another organisation that offered an increase of around ₹2,000 in his salary. Looking back, he considers this a turning point in his life, as the additional income gave him some financial stability—even allowing him to afford fuel for his motorcycle, something that had once seemed like a luxury.

Soon afterwards, he joined Intex Technologies in Delhi as a Senior Sales Executive. Through consistent hard work and dedication, he steadily progressed within the organisation, being promoted to Area Manager, Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and later Zonal Manager. During the last three years of his tenure, he served as the National Sales Manager at Intex. Ashraf considers his time at the company to be one of the most defining phases of his professional career, as it provided him with invaluable exposure to the corporate world, opportunities to work closely with business partners, and the chance to learn from experienced colleagues, mentors, and the company's promoters.

Speaking about the youth of the nation, businessman Moh. Nazim Ashraf says he believes that today's generation is far more aware and informed than previous generations. With the advent of social media and easy access to information, young people stay updated with the latest developments and have the opportunity to acquire knowledge instantly through digital platforms.

Addressing aspiring entrepreneurs, he emphasises that education should always be the first priority. According to him, one should ideally consider starting a business only after completing graduation. He also advises young professionals to work under the guidance of an experienced mentor or within an established organisation for at least two to three years before venturing into entrepreneurship, as practical exposure plays a vital role in building knowledge and confidence.

For those who belong to established business families, Ashraf recommends gaining experience outside the family enterprise before joining it. Working in a different organisation exposes an individual to new ideas, work cultures, and management practices that may not be learned within one's own business environment. Returning with that experience not only helps in implementing fresh perspectives but also contributes to the long-term growth, credibility, and reputation of the family business.

He further encourages young people to openly discuss their ideas with friends and mentors, as a single conversation or suggestion can often become a turning point in life.
