An educator, Himmat, always motivated his students and others to get an education. He also helped the needy students by giving them a free education and paying their fees.

Himmat Singh is a retired assistant director at the Education Department in Udaipur.

Himmat hails from Badi Sadri, Chittorgarh, and completed his primary education there. Then he did the eleventh and twelfth from Jawahar Vidyapeeth, Kanod. Afterwards, he came to Udaipur for his higher education. Initially, he provided his services to various departments, including the Income Tax Department and Panchyat Samiti. Then he started his career in the Education Department.

After completing his B.Ed., Himmat joined as a second-grade English teacher. From 1978 to 1985, he provided his services at different schools as an English teacher. In between, he also completed his MA in English and prepared for the RAS exam but didn't get selected. Then he got selected as the principal and worked at different government schools and organizations. He also provided free coaching to the needy students. He retired in 2010 and is still working for the welfare of the people.

Talking about his struggles, Himmat says that he faced many challenges as he had to do his job and his studies all together. He completed his graduation and B.Ed. along with his work.

Himmat advises that it is important for the students to do hard work to achieve their goals. One should not be distracted from their vision and should move forward by overcoming all the obstacles. He says that students should read the biographies of famous personalities. They must choose a subject according to their interests.
