Himmat is a hostel supervisor. He has worked in many other jobs as well before landing up as a supervisor in the hostel of a reputed institution.

Himmat Parmar is working as a hostel supervisor in Vidya Bhawan Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

Himmat hails from Dhanka Wada village which comes under the Semari tehsil in Udaipur. He has done schooling till the 10th standard. He started working in Vidya Bhawan in 1994.

Initially, Himmat also worked as an attendant and cook in the same hostel. He took some time to learn the work properly and was helped by other staff members in learning his work.

Talking about his achievements, Himmat says that in 2012-13, he was awarded the Best Worker award by Riyaz Tehsin, director of the institution.

Sharing about his COVID-19 experience, Himmat says that he continuously worked during the pandemic. With the help of Vidya Bhawan officers and staff, he arranged for essentials and ration kits for those in need.

Himmat advises the generation to come to be honest in life and respect their seniors.

In his free time, Himmat visits his village and spends time with his family.
