Himmat Lal Kumawat has been working as a Career Development and Admission Head at Aravali Institute of Technical Studies for the last fourteen years.

Himmat was born and brought up in a small village Dhoinda near Nathdwara. He did his schooling at Government Senior Secondary School, Kankroli, and B. Tech from Shrinathji Group of Institutions and thereafter he completed his M. Tech from Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur. After completing his education, he started working as an Admission Coordinator at Aravali Institute and has been working there since then.

Recalling his childhood memories, Himmat says that his childhood was always full of struggles. His father was not financially that stable to afford higher education for his kids. However, Himmat always had an aim of doing engineering and his father somehow arranged the fee and got him admitted to an engineering college. He says that he was very sound in education and always used to pass his classes with first division in school.

Talking about his role models, Himmat says that there have been many role models throughout his journey. He says that his grandfather was his very first role model, whose ethics and teachings have been an inspiration to him. Further, he says that his students have also been a motivation to him.

Sharing his motivation mantra, Himmat says that there is a quote from Swami Vivekananda which motivates him a lot and that is, “Arise, awake, and do not stop until the goal is reached.”

Talking about the current generation, Himmat says that students these days are confused about their academics. Advising the youth, Himmat tells them to first test their ability and identify their interest. Further, he says that along with education, developing your personality is very important. Also, getting trained in your interest can help the youth in their future, says Himmat. Himmat says that if a student joins a company, it is very important for them to have a basic knowledge about the company and use their leadership and other skills for the company.

If Himmat were to choose between education and experience, He says that education is very important. He says that without education, making a good career is difficult as you won’t be able to have standard qualifications.

If Himmat were given a time machine, he would go back in time for the purpose of having a good education. He says that even with the lack of resources at that time, he worked hard and could make up to a good level in his career.

Conveying his message to the young generation, Himmat says that if you give your full potential to whatever field you choose, then you will definitely be able to achieve your target.
