An avid poet, Himanshu loves writing poems and decided to become a professional poet. He has been in this field for the last six years and is an inspiration to young poets.

Himanshu Sharma is a professional poet and also works for an IT company. He hails from Udaipur.

Himanshu says that he was not concerned with making poetry his profession, but once he went to a program where a young boy, almost his age, had recited a poem so beautifully that he was impressed and decided to make a career in poetry.

Talking about his struggles, Himanshu says that being a handicapped person is a struggle in itself. Initially, he was not supported by anyone in his family, but his father motivated him a lot. For young poets, it is quite hard to achieve success in poetry, as there is a lot of competition in the field. But he never gave up and decided to write motivational poems to inspire people. He never cared to be judged and worked very hard. His writings revolve around the themes of women and feminism.

Himanshu’s role model is Shailesh Lodha, who is also known as "Tarak Mehta" in "Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chasma". Himanshu thinks the way he delivers poetry is marvelous.

Himanshu believes that education and vocabulary are very important for becoming a poet.

Himanshu thinks that COVID has had, no doubt, a negative impact on our lives, but somehow it also has a positive impact on us, as during the pandemic he got several opportunities to do online national and international shows.

In his spare time, Himanshu likes to watch cricket.
