Born and raised in Jodhpur, Himanshu Mathur is the Chief Physiotherapist at Jaipur Rehab Physiotherapy Clinic in Jaipur. He also owns an online education portal for physiotherapists. Through his clinic, Himanshu provides top-notch physiotherapy services to patients in Jaipur. With his extensive experience and expertise, he has gained a reputation for delivering effective treatments and helping individuals recover from various injuries and conditions. Additionally, his online education portal serves as a valuable resource for physiotherapists worldwide, offering comprehensive courses and resources to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field.
Himanshu completed his education in Jodhpur and a Master in Orthopaedics from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. With his extensive training, he has become a trusted authority in physiotherapy, staying updated on the latest advancements and techniques.
In his discussion of the COVID pandemic, he divides it into two phases, 2020 and 2021, in order to better understand it. He claims that the pandemic caused the greatest amount of anxiety and terror among individuals during the year 2020. Additionally, in 2021, individuals started to lose interest in the pandemic. He was employed in the COVID ward during the pandemic's initial stages and saw firsthand the devastation it caused. He said it was difficult for him to have to wear a PPE outfit at all times for extended periods of time. He and his whole family were afflicted with the illness in 2021.
But contrary to the struggles of the pandemic, capitalizing on his spare time, he launched a free online educational program on physiotherapy. The program gained popularity quickly, attracting a wide range of participants from around the world. It provided valuable knowledge and resources to aspiring physiotherapists and helped bridge the gap in access to education during the pandemic.
Himanshu believes that people's role models change over time, and he has had numerous role models, including his father, mother, and sister. He also enjoys reading autobiographies, particularly Albert Einstein's biography, which has always been an inspiration.
Himanshu posits that character development is shaped by failures rather than successes and that success is a journey rather than a destination. He asserts that there is no fixed path to follow, as aspirations and destinations evolve with growth.
As far as success mantras go, Himanshu doesn't have any. All he thinks is that you should work hard all the time. He claims that before, all he did was work a 9-to-5 job and spend his free time doing nothing. He started working differently, though, after realizing the value of time, and he now has his own clinic, an online education portal, and a YouTube channel called "Jaipur Rehab."
When it comes to his accomplishments, Himanshu considers his roles as a researcher, academic, and clinician as his greatest accomplishments. In addition to co-authoring a book, as he says, he has had numerous scientific research papers published in various journals. Additionally, he views his multiple award wins as another accomplishment. When his patients are happy with the care they receive, he too feels satisfied.
Never settle for what you know, is Himanshu's advice to others. Don't go into something unprepared, he advises, even if you're doing something for the fiftieth time. On top of that, he claims that since it takes time for your efforts to pay off, perseverance is key to achieving your objectives. He also says to always strive to be the greatest at what you do rather than comparing yourself to others.
His advice to future medical professionals is to put into practice the method of learning by doing. He advises trying to put whatever you study into practice to improve your understanding of it.
Don't limit yourself to textbooks; the wealth of information available on the internet can be helpful, advises Himanshu. Additionally, prioritize your health, as a healthy individual contributes to a healthier society.
