Hemraj Gurjar is working as a vendor and taking care of the cows and preparing dairy products at Vidya Bhawan Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Udaipur. He has been working at Vidya Bhawan for 36 years. He also supplies milk and gets a side income from that.
Hemraj was born in a village in Mavli near Udaipur. His family was very ignorant. So he studied only two classes and then left the studies, says Hemraj.
Talking about his struggles in life, Hemraj says that he started with only 15 rupees per month in Udaipur. Then he went to Indore and worked as a servant in others' houses. Then he went to Mumbai and worked in a motor parts shop. Coming back to Udaipur after some time, he also worked in an agency to make a living. Later, he joined Vidya Bhawan and since then he has been working here.
Talking about his Covid experience, Hemraj says that he never had any holidays during these days, as his responsibility was to feed the cows and look after them.
When asked about his role models in life, Hemraj says he considers Sharda Sahab of Vidya Bhawan as a role model, who taught him and inspired him in his life.
When free, Hemraj likes to spend time with his family.
